Chapter 8

"So, you're saying that we should get to the bottom of this right now?"

Andi stepped on Jax's foot and said, "Were you even listening to what I said?"

Emma stopped the two from arguing once more. Diego grabbed the Hexoren from Andi's bookshelf and led all of them into the cellar. It didn't take that long. Besides, all they had to do was chant a spell to get there.

"So, what do we do now?" Patricia asked. She sat down on the couch and took a glimpse at the fixed puzzle. It didn't look much of a souvenir from Egyptian history, it looked quite modern actually.

"We find the so-called hole in the wall that serves as the lock to our key. Have you ever started listening?" Ramona told her.

"What are we waiting for? Let's go." Nina persuaded. Sibuna, now including Victor, and the Witches' Council, started heading to the cellar but was stopped by his voice.

"Where are you all heading to? Is there a party in here?" Jerome asked. He walked closer to them and pointed at Agamemnon, Lily, and Ramona. "And who are these people?"

Sibuna started looking at each other, trying hard to create some type of loophole to distract him. But then, Victor pushed him out of their way and said, "I have a question for you, Jerome. If I have not mistaken, you should be in your room by now."

"What about them?" he pointed at the nervous-looking Sibuna members, "Shouldn't they be also in bed?"

Victor walked over to Jerome's spot saying, "Off to bed."

After they successfully shooed him away, they headed to the cellar, only to find out that someone already went ahead of them.
