Guardians.

Where am I?

Trigger warning- mentions of fighting and injures from explanation a couple of chapters ago

Sam

Sam woke to a silent room with a soft blanket pulled up to her shoulders, there was a sound of waves crashing against rocks and a gentle tide coming in from the sea, it smelled strangely relaxing with the salt and seaweed mixed.

"Terrence I'm going in a checking see if they're awake, Thomas told us to tell him If we found anything different and this is different, we lied to him for this person who wasn't even conscious" there was another voice but sam couldn't register as she now noticed she was wrapped in bandages, the door quietly opened with a brunette peeking through when she saw that the previously asleep guardian was now awake their eyes lit up, "Valerie! Are you serious! Don't just do that!" The door swung open and 'Valerie' pulled who sam could only guess was Terrence into the room with her "hai I'm Valerie! This is Terrence, I found you floating out in the sea!" They say catching sam off guard Terrence was confused until he realized that the person was awake.

They fixed their gaze smiled and waved "hello! I'm Terrence, you already know that" he says awkwardly sam smiles "sam, where am I?" "Shipwreck cove, we look after it with the help of Camden" Valerie says and Sam notices her teeth "you're a siren..." Valerie nods slowly "yeah I talked to a sea witch and they got me this necklace which allows me to walk on the surface. Only for a little bit then standing to get uncomfortable and sometimes painful"

Sam nods now looking at Terrence who flickered out of focus and the skin although a darker shade was pale and.. ghostly "and your a ghost" he also nods  "yeah.. died after the hive came" sam nods sadly.

"I'm sorry Terrence, we've been trying to fight then back but... they can do a lot of damage" he shrugs the apology aside, "it's fine, why were you floating out to sea unconscious?" He asks concerned.

Sam explained all she could remember causing Terrence and Valerie to realise the guardian who Thomas was looking for was right in front of them, "you're the queen!" Valerie's eyes light up hands covering her mouth sam slowly nods "I really do appreciate you guys bringing me in and fixing me up, I really owe you all one"

Terrence dismissed again "no! You and the court do so much for us it's the least we could do your highness" sam winces at the title that Terrence used "please just call me Sam, I get treated like that by my guardians, I don't need it from the others too," she says gently almost ashamed of herself.

They both nod now agreeing to call her by her first name, "did you say you knew Thomas?" Sam asks Valerie nods a large grin showing her razor-sharp teeth, "yeah we've been close buds with Thomas for a good number of years, we should call him actually to tell him we've found you, huh." Sam chuckles at Valerie's eagerness but soon noticed the look in her eyes. Pain.

"Valerie gets into the water now please, I don't want you hurting yourself" Terrence smiles sadly at Valerie who seemed taken aback by the gentleness she had, "ill lead you to the moon pool out here so we can keep talking, I don't think you should be flying yet," Terrence said coming over and going corporeal for sam to lean against him "thank you," she says relieved, taking Terrence's offered hand feeling the warm chill go up her spine from the touch of the ghost.

He led the two into the next room which had a small pool in the centre where Valerie went and took off her necklace and got into the water soon silver and lavender replace the legs with scales and a fish-like tail taking the feets place, Valerie let out a loud sigh relaxing in the water, Terrence led sam to a sofa and allowed her to sit and get comfortable before going incorporeal. 

"We'll call Thomas in the morning and tell him you're here, I just think one more night's rest will be enough for you to get to the border of the autumn woods and spring forests." Terrence says explaining his reasoning sam nods "that's is fine, thank you, Terrence, for your help, you too Valerie.  it means a great deal to me and the court." 

They both smile at the thanks looking away almost gushing. 

"Its no issue, really sam. you are trying to fix home we would love to be a part of that, even if it's just getting healed and back to health. especially since you gave some of your power to Robyn" sam considers what Terrence said, Valerie was silently humming to not draw attention to her voice and possibly kill the guardian.

"Terrence, Valerie, would you consider helping us more? I have an idea but I need your permission and consent." the two look at each other a silent conversation between the two, then Valerie pipes us "what would we be doing?" 

"Terrence, if your incorporeal no one can touch you, correct?" sam asks and Terrence nods "can you fully- like go invisible?" he nods again slowly fading from the guardian and sirens eyes "of course I can, why?" she smiles seeing this "I need someone to keep an eye on the hive while they're trying to tamper more with the core. obviously, they can see us, guardians, from a great distance. would you be comfortable being that for us? only for a day or two." she asks cautiously allowing Terrence to say no if he wanted to Valerie seemed interested and Terrence did too when he came back to their view, "what about Val?" 

Sam smiles, "Valerie would be the messenger from your hideout to our base, the water is a mix of fresh and salt where you would be travelling and large covered river to no one would be able to catch you due to your speed. and you could always remove some of those hive members yourself" sam explains more and Valerie smiles hearing that. 

They look at each other and nod smiling wider, "we'll do it."
