Guardians.

The Core.

"Sam! please listen to me!" she yells grabbing hold of the unfocused woman's arms tugging them just hard enough to jostle, she just jerks then looks towards the glowing sphere which pulses at the eye contact, "the core... it needs me, let go"

Triggers- swearing, death? Memory-loss

Robyn frowns confused "what- what do you mean it needs you! babe talk to me!" everyone was standing watching as the dull grey core pulsed again and sam eyes glowed brighter as she tried to escape Robyn's grip to move to the core almost like a lure, a bait and sam was the fish.

"The core... It wants to fix everything but it needs me to do it..." she says smiling happily at the other's eyes still pink "you can go home! Home will be fixed, Cassidy will be safe,"  she says with a sound of relief and praise, Robyn shakes her head quickly "no sam! We won't be happy without you so whatever the core is planning on doing don't listen!" Sam tuts tracing a finger down Robyn's face a sense of sadness on her feature "I'm sorry love... you know I can't do that.. not when I knew this was going to happen after being crowned"

Robyn's eyes widen so does logans "wait really?" She steps away further from the five others "yes, now I must get to the core, I'm sorry love, Cassidy will be waiting for you on the other side of this"

She reached to the wall glowing her eyes bright pink blinding the fives attempt at reaching out to her, a panel of energy shot up blocking them from entering, Robyn and Virgil banged on the wall blocking them from sam as she stepped closer to the glowing core

"sam! Please! Just listen to us for a second! This isn't the way to do this!" She stopped looking back at them, "it was something I had to accept when I got crowned, I knew this was happening.

I just wished I could have prepared you for it" she says Patton was being held by Logan as the core began having electric bolt shoot out and hit surfaces with ear-splitting cracks, roman was frozen watching, eyes watering not knowing what to say.

She looked back at them then went to the core it flashed a beam going and scanning her "state name" a robotic voice says analyzing her, she glows her eyes red and purple allowing her wings to appear which glowed.

"Samantha Umbra, guardian leader." She says "I'm ready to go into the core." "Leader recognised, commencing absorption process"

The core seemed to know what she meant since  Robyn was trying to break the wall down as tears streamed, Virgil watched as his sister looked back at them eyes losing its bright glow, "it's for the best, Roman?" Roman locks eyes with her, "remember our promise" he nods tears now flowing as he took hold of Virgil's shoulder and pulled him into a hug. 

The core shot out a bright beam and latched onto Sam as Robyn screamed for her to be free'd, tears flowing uncontrollably, Virgil froze watching his sister disappear, in time the light faded and sam was gone, the dull grey core slowly changing to strawberry pink, the wall went away and Robyn staggered her way to where sam was taken into the core.

"sam you fucking bitch! Get back here and stop leaving me! I love you and I don't want to be alone! You keep leaving me! I-I can't take it! Please!" She screamed out to the core her voice cracking with strain, roman walked up to her tenderly taking her shoulder she looked at him and he sighed, "I'm sorry-" what roman was going to say was cut off by a quick hug.

Soon all five of them had gone to the broken guardian and hugged her tightly, "I'm sorry you had to see that," Virgil was a crying mess also, Patton trying to comfort the other when he obviously was still hurting.

A few minutes of this and the core sends a soft gentle pulse that reminded Virgil of a tickle, he froze looking at the glowing pink core, "what did you do?" He mumbled as it sent another pulse Robyn's eyes widen sensing what the core is doing, "she's sending you guys home... and the hive, I-I'm going to be alone..." she whispered looking away from the others.

Logan didn't know what to say so he said the one thing that may help, "let's get you to saffiya and Cassidy before we leave." The three other males nodded looking back at the pulsing pink core sadly, then walked out through the memory room gladly not having to relive other people's memories than to saffiya and a sleeping Cassidy.

Robyn sighed seeing her pulling the sleeper onto her lap and cuddling them close, a few minutes went by when the boys felt light-headed and dizzy, logan leaned on his steed and Patton leaned against his soul mate, roman had to try and ground himself reaching out to Virgil, "Robyn what's happening?" Robyn smiled sadly "your going home, patt, remember that I'll be giving your memories back,  thank you all for helping us. I'll miss you all for now" 

logan glanced around seeing the others fading logan clung to Patton wanting to not lose the grip of his soulmate, Patton did too "we'll miss you too" logan manages to say before everything faded into black.

Logan opened his eyes feeling Patton's embrace and soft sheets covering them, he smiled placing a kiss on his husband's forehead who stirred in their sleep "morning lo, how was your sleep?" Patton asks sleepily "it was satis- pleasant, how was yours?" Patton hums snuggling into logan who smiles at his clinginess, "it was alright but I'm getting a headache, I might not go into work today" logan nods rubbing Patton's back comfortingly, "that is fine patt, I'll let Sherry know that we need her, to work today, ill go in and do some things then I'll be right here to help, ok?" Patton nods holding logan tighter, "Patton that means I have to get up" he groans "later, please?" logan sighs giving into his husbands' pleas and he carded his hand through Patton's hair. 

"10 minutes then I'm going away for an hour, ok?" "twenty," Patton says, logan sighs in response, "fifteen, and when I get back and make you some food, you get the rest of the day" logan bribes, he can feel Patton's smile into his shoulder 

"deal."

Roman woke in his bed in the spare bedroom from a soft knock, "Ro? you in here?" he sits up rubbing his eyes, "yeah, come in" he calls, the door opens with a soft click and Virgil appears seeming slightly distressed, "what's wrong?" Roman asks softly gesturing for him to come onto the bed, he does curling up next to Roman leaning his head onto the other's chest, "had a bad dream, and woke up to you not being in bed... I sorta freaked out" Virgil explains and Roman slowly nods, "are we going to see a couples therapist?" Virgil asks, Roman nods "I think so, just to fix some of the issues were still having, is that ok?" Roman asks softly carding his finger through the others violet and black hair, "when did you dye your hair?" Roman asks and Virgil shrugs, "no clue, woke up like this" roman hums, "looks nice, it suits you."

The two stayed in each other's embrace silently, "when will we start the therapy?" Virgil asks and Roman stops his hair playing, "as soon as possible, so we can go back to normal, I think at least" Roman says carefully Virgil just hums.
