It's now 6pm on Saturday and I am shitting myself. Not literally. But I'm nervous ahah. I've straightened my hair, put a bit of makeup on and sprayed my favourite perfume. I'm wearing mom jeans with a crop top and a woolly cardigan.

I walk down the moving stairs. I'm so scared right now. I can see everyone having a good time whilst I'm anxious which makes me jealous of them. I'm literally on my way to a date with a hot sixteen year old. I hope he's actually there. I hope his mates aren't there because they'll mock me. What if he's stood me up?

I finally get off the steps and I see Malfoy leaning against the wall by the Great Hall. "Where do you think you're going at these times, Carter?" he asks me.

I look him in the eyes and say "On a date"

I then look away, still walking. I don't look at his reaction as I know that we'd start arguing. And I don't want to be late for this date.

I finally reach the entrance courtyard and Cedric is standing there, on his own, with a picnic basket and a broomstick. A smile forms on my face, he looks really good. "Hello gorgeous" he says, giving me a hug.

"Why have you got your broomstick?" I ask.

"Do you trust me?"

"Mm. Kind of" I reply with a laugh.

He laughs. He's got such a cute laugh.

"Would you like to get on my broomstick?"

"Cheeky. On the first date?" I joke around. We share a laughter.

"Don't be silly, Jessa. I'd never make you do that. Now just get on the back of my broomstick otherwise we'll miss the sunset"

He straddles over his broomstick, lifting it up and handing me his picnic basket. It's a lot lighter than I thought it would be. "Could you put that on the back please?" he asks politely. I nod and hang the picnic basket on the end. He also demands me to straddle over broomstick with him. As I start to sit down the broomstick leaves the ground. I'm so nervous as I've never been on a broomstick before. I hold onto him lightly. "Tighter than that. You don't want to fall off" he warns me. I pull in closer and feel his warm body against mine. I feel safe all of a sudden as I lean my chin on his shoulder.

"Ready?"

"Yes"

"3...2...1"

The broomstick rapidly moves forwards, gradually getting higher. The wind is flying into my face. When we get as high as possible, we go over seas and forests. He starts to slow down as we reach a rocky beach. I hope we're not eating on there because that would be so uncomfortable.

Our feet touch the ground. "Open the basket" Cedric demands. I open the lid to find a picnic blanket and a shiny orange ball. "We don't have any food?" I question. I pick up the ball "What's this?"

"Pass me that" he reaches his hand out, so I give the ball to him.

He then throws the orange ball into the water, making a tiny splash.

"Why the hell did you do that?"

"Just wait"

There's a moment of silence with us just staring at the calming waves. All of a sudden something flies out of the water and into the air. It drops back down onto the water without even making a splash. It's a rowing boat.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"There's this island that I go to on my own every Saturday. I thought I'd take someone special this time" he answers, making me blush.
