It's Tuesday 14th February, the day of love. But love is the furthest emotion from me right now. I feel hatred from Dean, and I haven't spoken to Malfoy since that moment by the tree. Ugh, we really need to talk things out. Dean and I need to as well. Luckily, I have tutoring with Dean before the valentine's day dinner that is held in the great hall tonight. I don't feel like going and I don't think anyone would like to take a selfish bitch anyway.

I make it to tutoring on time and I can feel the tension in the air. I take a seat next to Dean and I immediately decide to clear the air "Dean, I'm sorry about what I said the other day. I've really thought about my decision and I think I would actually choose Harry in that situation, if I'm being honest. Malfoy is a twat and honestly it would be funny to see him get what he deserves especially if he's trying to hurt Harry. And I've realised that Harry is one of my closest friends and he will always be there for me and I need to start appreciating that more. Malfoy has never been there for me and I don't think he ever will. I think I just have a typical school crush and hopefully it'll go away soon because it's annoying" I let out a small laugh.

Dean smiles "Apology excepted. I knew you'd realise soon. I'm sorry I was a bit harsh when I told you, but I just need to make you aware of the way you look to people. I'm just trying to make sure that you don't become a horrible person who picks that idiot over Harry."

We share laugh and he teaches me a few things. At the end of the session Dean asks me "So are you going to the Valentines Dinner tonight?"

"No. I'm just going to have a chilled night alone in the dorm" I reply. "Are you going?"

"Fair enough and no, I'm going to mess around in the school with Seamus and Harry. I was going to ask if you wanted to join us, but I guess you still want a chilled night in."

"Yeah I do. Thank you for offering though. What about Neville?"

"He's on a little date with Ginny."

"Ooooo. Ginny? I would have never expected that. I thought maybe her and Harry."

"Really? I guess so."

Dean and I walk to the hall and have a quick meal before they set up for the ball. When we get back to the common room, everyone is getting ready for the meal. I help Hermione with her makeup and hair. I also pick out an outfit.

"Are you excited to go on a little date with Ronald?" I tease Hermione, whilst I lie back on my bed.

She looks at me through the mirror as she is checking how she looks "Date? Wouldn't call it that."

"What would you call it then?"

"Two friends having a friendly meal."

"Sure. Whatever you say Hermione."

She gasps and playfully throws her hairbrush at me. I gasp and laugh and she joins my laughter.

"Anyway, I'm late as it is. I have to get going. Enjoy your night."

She starts to walk towards the door.

"Hope you have a good date."

She stops in the doorway and rolls her eyes dramatically. We share a laugh and she strolls out, shutting the door.

Finally, a whole night alone, where I can just focus on my schoolwork. I get into a jumper and joggers and go over to my desk to start doing my DADA homework. This homework is so hard, and my brain physically hurts. I start guessing for all the answers, so I have something to fill in the space. It starts to get really hot in the dorm, so I decide to open the window by my bed. I then go back to my desk. This is going to be a long night. Suddenly, I hear a swoosh sound from my window. I turn around but nothing is there. That's weird. I turn back to my work and then I hear the same noise again but this time, when I turn around, Malfoy is sitting on his broomstick, outside my window. I jump and gasp as this surprises me.
