FORBIDDEN FEELINGS part 2

Chapter 13- Amortentia

I am soooooo sorry that I haven't posted for a week. I've been so busy with college work. But enjoy ;)

For the past week we've been shopping and bought dresses for the Winter Ball. I'm so excited for it because I'm going with Cedric this year.

It's the 13th December and I'm in tutoring with Dean and he randomly asks "So, how's it going with Cedric?"

"Oh, it's going great."

"Do you actually like him?"

"What a ridiculous question! Of course I like him."

"Sorry. I was just asking."

The next day, I get paired up with Malfoy in potions. Ugh why do we always get paired up? It's like they're forcing us to get along, but it will never happen.

We're learning about love potions and Snape tells us to make one with our partner.

"You know if you take this, you'll be madly in love with me" Malfoy says with pride.

"Urm, I think you mean Cedric."

"Don't lie to yourself, you're in love with me."

"No I'm not."

Malfoy starts to add more ingredients into the potion.

"What are you doing?" I ask, furiously.

"Making it stronger, so that when you take it, you'll be all over me."

"Nah, I think I'll be all over Cedric."

"Sure."

"What makes you think I'll be in love with you anyway?"

"Because you will be in love with me no matter what. I'm like a drug and you're addicted to me."

I laugh "Can you hear how cocky you sound right now? You really need to get over yourself. You need to get it in your head that I'm over you and I'm moving on."

"Prove it."

"How?"

"Take the love potion tonight and we'll see who you really love."

"Fine. Just saying, you'll see me all over Cedric."

"It lasts 3 days by the way."

I nod and slip the potion into my pocket.

At lunch Cedric asks me if I want to go star gazing with him tonight and I say yes as this will be good after the potion kicks in.

At dinner, I leave early so I can take the potion on my own. I sit in the common room with the fire cracking. I stare at the potion, hoping that this will make me fall in love with Cedric. I sniff the potion and it smells like green apples. I'm guessing Malfoy put some green apples in this to add flavour.

I down the drink and nothing happens. I burp. Suddenly, my eyes start to feel heavy and everything starts spinning. The room gets darker and my head feels lighter and lighter. My eyes force themselves to close.

I'm on a cloud on Draco Malfoy's bed for some reason. I mean it could be Cedric's bed, but it looks a lot likes Malfoy's. It's so cosy and the smell of green apples fill my nose. There's someone under the covers. I tap the lump and someone comes out from under the covers. White hair? Green robes? Pale skin? NO. It can't be. He looks very attractive. "Say my name" he demands.

"Draco."

"And again?"

"Draco."

"My full name?"

"Draco Malfoy."

"Louder."

"Draco Malfoy!"

"Jessa?" I hear a voice.

"Yes?"

"Jessa!"

"Yes Draco."

Draco disappears and the bed starts to shake.

"Draco!" I shout worriedly.

Suddenly I fall through the bed and land on the Gryffindor common room sofa.

I wake up, sweating and Dean is shaking me.

"You're not Draco" I shout.

"Yes?" Dean says, confused.

"Take me to Draco. I want to see if he's okay."

"Urm Jessa, why would you want to see Malfoy?"

"Because I want to kiss him. I want to kiss him all night long. I want to do more than kiss him."

"WHAT?! You're dating Cedric."

"I know" I pull a sad face "I wish I were dating Draco. If I was, I would shout it from the rooftops. I'd say 'I, Jessa Carter-"

Deans hand cover my mouth before I can say anything else. "Never finish that sentence, ever! Especially, in front of your boyfriend who you have a date with tonight. I can't let you go like this. Why are you even being like this?"

He looks down at the ground and takes his hand from my mouth. He picks up the love potion and mutters "I knew it."

He looks at me and asks "Who gave you this?"

"Draco Malfoy" I say in a dreamy tone "Isn't he just so talented?"

"How much did he give you?"

"I'm not sure but it's supposed to last 3 days. Isn't that fun?"

"Not at all. You need to get to bed and I need to tell Cedric tonight."

"Will Draco be in my bed?"

"Y-yeah" Dean stutters.

YAY! I jump up and run to my dorm with Dean trailing behind me.

"You said he'd be here" I groan as I stand in my dorm.

"Just lie in bed. He's on his way" Dean says.

He better be. All I want is him right now. I get into bed.

-Dean's POV-

When Jessa gets into bed, I get my wand out and cast the sleeping charm on her, so she falls into a slumber. Jesus Christ. I'm sweating. This is so bad. I have to tell Cedric that she can't make it tonight. I really hope she's not like this in the morning.

As I'm on my way to find Cedric, I'm thinking about what just happened. I knew it. I knew it all along. I knew that she liked Malfoy. It was obvious. But I don't know why. And I don't know how long this has been going on for but since the party I've seen so many signs.

I get to the entrance of the Great Hall and Cedric is talking to my friends. "Cedric" I say, and he looks at me with a smile. "Jessa's come down with a cold so she's in bed and can't make the date tonight. She said that she will see you soon though. She just doesn't want to give you an illness."

"That's fine. I hope she's okay though." Cedric says.

"She will be."

Iturn around and see Malfoy smirking. He knows what he's doing, and I'm nothappy about it.
