FORBIDDEN FEELINGS part 2

Chapter 4- The New Professor

We walk into the hall and I try and spot Malfoy as I haven't seen him at all yet this year. I hope he's just as ugly as last year. I glance at the door and I see his white hair in the distance. Wait why am I smiling? Why does he look good? For God's sake. I know that he doesn't want to see me this year, so I'm not even going to try and get his attention. But he looks so mature now. And anyway, I fancy Nick and he's much better. I actually really miss Nick already.

I have Muggle Studies first period and I'm sat next to Malfoy again. "Hello Malfoy" I say in a friendly tone as I'm taking off my robe. He rolls his eyes and takes a seat. "Can we please just get over this and learn to get along?" I ask.

Malfoy scoffs and raises his arm for the Professors attention "Please can I move away from this girl? Because she's bothering me and I feel as though she will distract me" he asks and the Professor lets him move behind me, next to Goyle. Great.

After Muggle Studies I meet Hermione on our break. She takes me to the Library as she has to return a book. We sit on a table and I start reading about Magical Creatures. I look up from my book and spot an attractive older student searching for a book. Our eyes lock and I give him a cheeky smile and he gives one back.

I look back down at my book, blushing. He's so cute. "Hi. Don't believe we've met." a voice says above me. I look up to see the boy with his hand out in front of my face. He shakes my hand as he says "My name is Cedric Diggory. 6th year prefect and seeker for Hufflepuff Quidditch team. And you are?"

As we're still shaking hands, I reply "My names Jessa Carter. I'm a 4th year Gryffindor and I have absolutely nothing interesting about me"

His warm hand lets go of mine and he says "Lovely to meet you. Aren't you the girl who's getting rid of all the house points for Gryffindor all the time?"

I giggle "Yeah but I've changed now, for the best"

"That's good to hear. See you around, Jessa" he winks at me and as he's walking off, I mutter "See you around"

I can't help but blush. He is so charming. I look at Hermione and she looks as if she's about to burst with excitement.

She pulls me out of the library and screams "Oh my Gosh, you are SO crushing on him"

"Shh Hermione he might hear you" I say as we start walking to our Defence Against the Dark Arts class.

As we approach the door she stops and says "Ahh I can just picture the wedding"

"Alright Hermione. I've only just met him"

"Can I be the bridesmaid?"

"Only if I can be one when you marry Ron"

"No!!!"

We both burst out laughing and walk into the classroom. Everyone stares at us as the room is silent. The Professor isn't here so everyone is just kind of standing around. Malfoy performs a disgusted look at me. Hermione and I walk over to our friends.

"Where's the Professor?" Hermione asks.

"Apparently we have a new one. She's a girl" Ron replies.

"And she's late" Dean adds.

"Good start then" Hermione says furiously.

"She better be good" I utter.

"They never are" Seamus says.

"Bloody hell" Ron exclaims. His mouth drops as he's staring behind us at the door.

"What is it, Ronald?" Hermione asks worriedly.
