LOST HIM FOREVER

AZAZEL's P.O.V

I was exhausted.

Zenith clearly had the upper hand in this fight and I was losing more blood than I ever had in all my life.

That's saying something seeing as I was tortured till I bled by my bastard father on a daily basis since I was six.

And I was slowly losing every bit of control over my lycan that I had.

I was losing Athena and pretty soon I'd lose myself.

“Please tell me someone found Kruel.” I mind-linked desperately to everyone as I got shoved in the dirt by my stupid brother.

“He's with Christian and I,” I sighed out, happy to hear Samael's voice respond. “But he's gone, Azazel. The witch put some hardcore spell on him and he isn't himself. ”

“What?”

“I don't think we can save him.”

That couldn't be true.

Kruel was a fighter.

He couldn't let her win.

He wouldn't.

Trenen, did you get everyone out?” I mind-linked, avoiding Zenith as much as I could.

“Yes, alpha.” He sent back.

I want you to leave immediately. Understood?”

“No, Azazel. That wasn't part of the plan.” He argued.

“Well, it is now.”

Cutting off the link, I fell to my knees completely and utterly worn out before shifting back to my human form which took the very last strength in me as I lay there, naked and exhausted.

“I need you both to leave.” I mind-linked Christian and Samael.

“But Azazel—”

“That's an order.” I grunted, “Leave Kruel and get out of there.”

When I didn't get a response, I just sat there, ready to give up.

“What's wrong, Desdemona?” Zenith taunted through the link, “You finally accepted that you are nothing and you shall die that way?”

"If I say yes, will you feel better about your pathetic self?"

“Give me one good reason as to why I shouldn't kill you right now.”

“I have absolutely nothing else to lose.” I said barely audible but I knew he could hear me perfectly.

If this was going to be how I went out, then I sure as hell wasn't going to fight it.

All my life, I wanted nothing more than to find my mate, have a family, and then live happily ever after but then came along my curse, my father's brutality, my mother's death.... After that, family seemed like the worst possible thing to happen to anyone. I didn't want that for my pups.

So to prevent that, I decided to forget about it all and live with the only person I could call family, Trenen.

He made this life bearable to some degree but it wasn't enough. It never was.

Until I met him.

The most sexist man I had ever met, running his mouth carelessly, not giving a damn about his only superior.
