Chapter 52
Emma’s POV
It was two weeks after my seventeenth birthday, and I was sitting on an airplane staring out the window as we landed in Sydney.
It was hard to say bye to Louis, Eleanor, and my handsome baby brother Nicholas, as well as Niall, Brooklynn, Zayn, Perrie, Liam and Danielle. They were all married now, (minus Niall) and I felt as if, sadly, we were all taking different paths in life. We all journeyed on to our own roads. The worst part about that was, none of our roads were connected anymore.Zeke, Lacey, Maggie and I still hadn’t made up, and I now fully believed we never would. I missed Lacey and Maggie; I needed a girlfriend to talk to so badly. And Zeke. I didn’t even know where to begin to say why I missed him. He always had something deep to say, he always managed to make me smile and show me the good side to every situation, and I always trusted his judgment.
It was awful to see the looks they gave me at school for the few weeks I was still there. It led me to cut more and more every day, until eventually Louis found me in a pool of my own blood. I was in therapy for two months after that, and taken out of school and homeschooled again. I liked it better that way though, it was easier keep from cutting that way.
The plane landed and I quickly stood. I didn’t have any bags, I had all my stuff shipped a few days before I came, leaving a few outfits at Louis’s in case I had a random visit.
“Hey!” Luke yelled, he, Ashton, Michael, and Calum all stood just behind the security line, all wearing large, obviously fake, mustaches and glasses. A large smile appeared on my lips as I ran towards them. I gave them each a hug and a kiss on the cheek, saving Luke for last. He got a little more.
“Ready to see our new house?” He smiled childishly, and I nodded with a grin.
It was hard for me to be happy, but I had gotten good at faking it. I knew I was depressed, but I didn’t know how to do anything about it.
We pulled into the drive of the house, after dropping the other three off, and I let out a loud gasp.
“I hope this is what you wanted. It’s got everything you asked for, right on the beach, big bedrooms, a big kitchen.” He smiled, kissing my cheek. I turned to face him, a large grin on my lips.
“I didn’t ask for any of that. All I asked for was multiple bathrooms.”
“Oh, well then it has everything I asked for.” He replied smugly, letting of me and opening the door. He picked me up bridal styled and carried me through each room, giving me the grand tour. The house was fully furnished, as Luke had been living here alone for a few weeks.
“And your jeep will be here next Monday.” Luke said, wrapping his arms tightly around my waist.
“This is so much more than I ever imagined.” I smiled, spinning around in his arms to face him.
“Do you like it though, really?”
I nodded, placing a large kiss on his lips.
“So.” He breathed out when I pulled away. “We’ve got about four hours before the boys get here for a little welcome home party.”
“Four hours of alone time, in a brand new house.” I cooed, trailing off.
“You know.” He coughed. “There are about four bedrooms; none have been broken in yet.”
I planted another kiss on his lips. “We should probably get on that then, huh?”
He picked me again, before running up the staircase.

I was leaning back against Luke’s chest as we sat around the large living room; the boys were trying to talk me into trying some of their sushi.
“I’ll give you twenty bucks in you eat one roll.” Ashton said, pulling a bill from his pocket and waving it around in my face.
I pulled the money from his hand and popped a roll in my mouth, and they all cheered.
“So, what’s the verdict?”
I nodded slowly. “It’s good. But you’re positive this isn’t going to make me sick?”
“I’m positive.” Calum nodded, popping another roll into his mouth. “It’s perfectly safe.”
“Okay.” I laughed. “Whatever you say.”
