Chapter 32

Louis’s POV

 

We were all sitting around the living room. I was sitting across from Jared on the couch, while Jared and Emma sat on the love seat. Niall sat to my left, Harry, and Liam sat on the other couch and Zayn sat in the recliner. We each were leaning forward slightly, our hands formed into fists. Every once in a while one of us would clench our jaw, or pop our knuckles. At first it was just to intimidate the bloke, but now it was to get him to back off. He was way too touchy feely with Emma, and I didn’t like it. His hand found its way to her knee, and he slowly made it trail up. I was silent as I clenched my jaw, cracked my knuckle and puffed my chest out slightly. Zayn noticed too because he cleared his throat.

“So, Jared.” He began. “What’s your career goals?”

Jared’s hand left Emma’s leg, and I let out a breath, it seemed like Emma did too.

“Well.” Jared began, leaning back and draping his arm over Emma’s shoulders. “I’d like to be a University football star.” ( A/N  football meaning soccer)

Niall cleared his throat. “What about after that?”

“Nothing, I’ll play soccer for major teams until I quit kicking.” He laughed at his own joke, but we all remained silent.

“Where do you plan on attending University?”  Liam asked

Jared shrugged “Not sure, I’ve been looking but nothing just screams me, you know? I need something with a great soccer program.” He nodded. He looked at his phone and scrunched his brow.

“I’ve got to go, it’s almost curfew.” He said, making us all look to the clock on the wall, which read 11:30.

Emma stood and walked him to the door.

Emma’s POV

 

“Thank you, I’m sorry for the way they’ve acted.” I said once we were outside the door.

He smiled “It’s cool, I get it.”

He leaned down and pressed his lips onto mine, before pressing me to the wall of the house and deepening the kiss.
