Alpha Reece's POV:

'Someone just left the pack grounds!' my wolf growled angrily. 'I know Turro, c'mon let's go find out what the hell is going on' I huff, furious. We storm out of my office almost burrowing into some idiots who get in my way. They stumble backward to avoid us and our rage. "GER!" I roar once we reach the foyer. Ger comes running down the stairs, half dressed with his fly open, and shirt unbuttoned, a pack slut trailing unsurely behind him with tousled hair and smeared lipstick. I'm about to scream at him for shaming me, but my chest tightens making me lean against the wall for support. What is happening?

'It's Dani and two others who have escaped Reece, she's gone, the little bitch!' Turro snaps. My chest gets so tight and painful enough to make me sit down clutching it, with tears springing to my eyes. NO! I don't cry. I blink back the tears, standing up again, addressing my Beta through our link. 'GER! Gather troops, the little bitch is doing another runner but this time she has somehow got further than before and has crossed the border! We need to grab her NOW!' I shout through the link, gasping as the stabbing pain worsens. Ger scurries off in search of the hierarchy and troops, leaving me in the foyer with a bunch of muts looking at me. "WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT?!?" I growl. They quickly scurry off as I stumble towards my office.

Dale's POV:

I can feel Dani calmly catching up to me with Andrea closing on her tail. She is absolutely magnificent. Her black coat glimmers under the moon's light, her footing light, almost silent. Her ears twitch as she inspects her surroundings. I'm gonna be so proud to be her Beta. We all regroup once our three paths intertwine, Kayla arriving ahead first.

'Is everyone okay?' Kayla asks through the link. 'Yes Alpha' I respond before Andrea chimes in. 'Yeah, just still shook to be honest, I didn't know a wolf like you even existed!' Andrea looks flabbergasted. I'm still processing it myself. We decide start to hunt, or rather, try to. I see a rabbit hopping around in the grass to my left. I ready myself and pounce, but I miss the little creature completely and end up in a face first muddy puddle. The two girls burst out laughing at me.

'Oh, shut up you two. Ha ha, very funny' I retort. 'You are funny Dale and you need a bath now. We will find a body of water soon enough. That's what you get for jumping right into the hunt without the appropriate preparation. C'mon Andrea, let's show this doofus how to hunt' Kayla sniggers. *Snap crunch, sniff, crack. * My head snaps in the girls' direction, my nose twitching. Rogues. Damn it, already? We haven't even had dinner! I make eye contact with Kayla as her voice comes through the link. 'Shit, rogues already. They can't smell us, so they don't know we are here yet, meaning we have the element of surprise, but they will see us, and they will most likely fight us. Remember, if you are captured by rogues, you will likely become a tortured prisoner for the rest of your days on this planet, so let's not let that happen, agreed?'

Both Andrea and I nod, our hackles raising slightly at the incoming threat. 'Stay quiet, move quick and let me and Dani take care of the rest okay. Get ready' Kayla instructs as I give her a small smile in return. Six rogue wolves stroll out from behind a patch of trees, followed by another, and another, and another, until our brave trio are surrounded by sixteen wolves. "Well, well, well, what have we got here then? Fresh meat" The one in front laughs. "Where have you three come from?" His snarls as one wolf sets his sights on me and another slowly advances towards Andrea.

I glance to my left to see two large wolves begin to circle Kayla, the rest lying in wait for their best opportunity to attack, a mixture of expressions on their faces. As one of the wolves stalks towards me, I get into a defensive stance, preparing for a fight. His breathing is heavy, his eyes looking at me wildly and his heart beating rapidly in his chest. The wolf leaps into the air, knocking me harshly to the ground. He snaps his fangs at my face making blood drip from my cheeks. I reach to my left, grabbing a branch, and strike the wolf hard across the side of the head. He stumbles to the side, but quickly regains his footing before latching onto my left front leg as I stand back up, tearing deep into my flesh. I howl in pain as the burning sensation creeps up to my shoulder.

The two wolves targeting Andrea pounce from either side of her in sync. Ducking, Andrea sighs in relief as the two wolves collide in a mess of teeth and claws. They separate and begin to circle her. The wolf on the right runs at Andrea. She dodges to the side quickly but the other bastard uses her moment of distraction and bites deep into her leg, clinging on for dear life. She hisses in pain, before chomping on his ear and ripping, tearing it straight of his head. The wolf screeches in agony, pawing at where his ear used to be, blood pumping out of the jagged wood and running down his face.

Andrea chomps down on the wolf's side as he desperately scratches at her underbelly. The first wolf redirects from his previously attempted attack and jumps onto her back, clawing at her neck, making her release his friend from her sharp teeth. Andrea leaps backward, crushing him against a tree, making him drop to the ground, spasming. She looks at me and sees me struggling as my opponent drags its sharp claws down my back, ripping open my flesh. 'Kayla, Dani, help Dale' Andrea says through the link. Kayla spins on her heels from where she is still battling the two biggest wolves and growls as my opponent latches onto my already injured leg.
