Timothy's POV:
As two of my men take her and her group down to the prison, I head to my office on the third floor of the pack house, limping slightly, getting some uncomfortable stares on the way. I growl at them to stop staring and while the wolves all turn away, there's still tension in the air as I stomp down towards my office at the end of the hall. Once I enter the room, I throw myself down into the chair behind my desk with a huff. I hate the idea of anyone being more powerful than me, especially a girl. It just doesn't sit right with me. And the way she had carried us in her mouth so easily as if we were a chew toy is just humiliating.
Though she is truly impressive, and while she could have easily challenged Darren and I for our title as alpha, killing us and taking immediate control of our pack, she didn't. In fact, she had gone against her own instincts, avoiding going for the kill, she has shown no interest whatsoever in our alpha title. She really is a strange one but different to normal circumstances, I don't believe she has any ill intentions here. Plus, even had that...vampire heal my wounds, for the most part. I shiver at the thought of it, I despise their kind. I have only crossed paths with a few vampires in my time and every single one of them was a cold hearted, blood thirsty wolf hating animal, though I have to admit this one seems nothing those other vamps I've dealt with in the past, so maybe she is different. As if I had summoned her with my complex thoughts, a rotten smell hits my nose making me involuntarily cringe at the stench before a blurry figure bursts through the door and appears on my couch.
I blink a few times in surprise before Darren chimes in, pissed off at the intrusion, finding it disrespectful. 'It's that wretched vampire that girl brought here, get her out of here, or I will' he growls. I feel uneasy at his words but tell him to stand down as this...vampire, as much as we hate her kind, is currently no threat to us or our pack and we don't yet know why she is here. I'm pulled out of my conversation with Darren as the girl breaks the silence up for the first time, by clearing her throat, bringing my attention back to the room.
She had just been staring at me the whole time I had been conversing with my wolf it seems. She takes a breath before speaking, looking anxious. "Em, hi, my Alpha sent me here to check on your wounds while she takes the rest of our pack down to your prison. Two of the other members hate vampires and don't understand that with growing up in my fairy colony, I am a kind person, and they have expressed the wish to cause me harm." My brows furrow in confusion. "My alpha chose to separate me from my pack for now as she will have to focus all of her attention on her tasks down in the prison and can't keep me close or keep an eye on me like she has been since she found me. She trusts you to keep me safe in the meantime. I-"
I try my best to process what she's saying but all I feel is confused. I cut across her with questions. "Fairy...colony? Why would a vampire grow up among fairies? Why did you heal me? And how did you end up in a pack of werewolves?" She didn't seem to take any offense to my questions as my expression probably expressed my genuine confusion and curiosity more than anything else. She tilts her head a little to the left before answering, considering her response. "Alpha Timothy, I'm a fairy, but I recently discovered I am actually a hybrid, half fairy, half vampire. When my vampire first surfaced, I had no control. I grew up as a fairy, we are gentle creatures, and vampires...they are hungrier creatures with more primal instincts and less self-control than us fairies.
It was overwhelming to have such strong primal and violent instincts for the first time in my life." I'd say my shock is palpable because she pauses and looks at me as if for permission to continue. I nod slowly, supporting my head with my fist as I lean my elbow on the armrest of the chair. "I have to say I definitely didn't expect that. I was wondering why I felt a sense of peace amongst my hatred of vampires from you when you healed me, I had a feeling there was something different about you. Go on..." she smiles softly at me before speaking again.
