Ethan's POV:

Once we all gather in the large dining hall, Alpha Timothy enters the room with Alpha Brown at his side. She takes her seat beside him after he insists, due to the nature of this dinner. I take my seat beside Sophia and another wolf from Timothy's pack. Everyone goes quiet as the clink of a glass echoes through the room, reverberating off the walls around us. Everyone looks to the top of the table where the two alphas sit. Alpha Timothy is the one to get everyone's attention as he stands up out of his seat. "Good evening everyone" he starts. "Good evening Alpha" his pack responds in perfect unison. Wow.

That's not unsettling at all. My wolf internally snickers as he comes forward for the occasion. "As you all know, we are gathered here this evening to celebrate a new alliance between the Rogue Prowlers pack and the Snow Moon pack as we are joined tonight by Alpha Brown." Alpha Brown stands up and makes eye contact we each wolf present individually, and as she does, they submit, one by one, some more hesitant than others, though for us there is no hesitation. Sire comes forward immediately, taking control to stand tall before bowing to our Alpha, making sure his respect for her is clearly shown. I see Kayla surface at his acknowledgement, her eyes flashing a glowing grey in acceptance.

Once there is a unanimous acknowledgement of Alpha Brown and her status, Alpha Timothy continues as both Alphas stand close together, a show of unison and respect. "From this moment forward, we will protect each other, love each other, bleed in battles for each other and most of all, we will share in each other's glory." We all start to cheer and howl in approval as they both take a knife, slicing their palms and shaking hands to solidify the alliance. We all feel the mental adjustment as our packs are entwined, feeling the presence of new possible connections. Laughing, I turn to Sophia.

"I'm glad Alpha Brown made this decision, not just because it means we can take more numbers with us to find and rescue Bree, but because of the precedent it sets going forward. It shows her willingness to ask for help and her ability to put the good of the pack over her own needs when necessary. Edgar would never work with anyone unless he could pull the strings, and the few times he did, he killed them as soon as he got what he wanted from them. Dani truly is a natural born leader. How long have you two been friends?" Sophia grins and glances towards Alpha Brown as the pack cooks begin to bring out the dinner, making many wolves at the banquet hall table drool at the sight of the food. "She sure is. Dani has always been a strong-willed, protective, kind and intelligent girl" she looks back to me, with a sad smile.

"But she has gone through hell and back more than once in more ways than I can count. I know all of us have some serious trauma and baggage, but Dani's...it's so far out there, that I doubt anyone in this world could ever truly know and/or understand what she has been through. She would probably never admit it because she never compares her suffering to others and rarely thinks of herself, but Dani has always been different. She got bullied at times when we were young because she showed the omegas and the weaker wolves kindness. In fact, Bree is proof that Dani has never seen status or titles, they have always meant very little to her. She always struggled with insecurity of her friendships because growing up, most wolves in our pack only talked to her and played with her because of her status as the Alpha's daughter, but she never did anything about it. She always said that "they are still learning how to navigate this scary world, and that one day, when they are older, they will realize that their actions were wrong, and if they don't, I have faith that the Moon Goddess with try and judge them accordingly." I glance at our Alpha, trying to imagine her being as young as five or six years old and yet having just wisdom, kindness and forgiveness in her heart. Sophia is silent for moment, almost hesitant to speak again. "It's okay Fee, what were you going to say?" She giggles at the unexpected nickname, before continuing where she left off.
