This is a part 2 of "It's ok" (my first chapter). I wasn't planning to continue it but it was requested and I got ideas so here's a part 2
No P.O.V.
Max blinked awake, not entirely aware of where he was. It was dark, but there was still some bright lights visible around him. A car? The boy froze at the realization. He dreaded going home. But then a soft noise cough his attention. Neil was in the seat next to Max, with his head on the smaller's side. The panic evaporated off of Max as soon as he saw this, a small smile spreading across his face. He put a hand through the nerd's hair, calming himself back down. Now that he was paying attention, the car was nothing like his father's. The smell was pleasant and familiar; the seats were gray and fabric, in oppose to black leather. Listening to his now boyfriend's steady breathing, Max easily drifted back to sleep. It was the most comfortable he'd felt in years.

Max once again opened his eyes. It was now decently light, and he could see the unfamiliar house around him. The ravenette sat up from the brown couch and jumped a little at voices from a close by room. He slowly got up and tiptoed to the entrance of a kitchen, poking his head in curiously. Neil stood by the stove looking incredibly tired, talking to his mother in a hushed voice. He was wearing a long green tee shirt, enough to barely see his shorts underneath. Max didn't particularly know what to say, this woman had just taken him in and frankly, expressively being thankful wasn't exactly his thing.
He stood there a little awkwardly, not exactly knowing what to do or say. He was about to slink back to the couch when he saw Neil with Mr. Honeynuts out of the corner of his eye. Max's entail response was defensive anger, until he heard Neil's next words. "I'm glad he slept through us washing it," the other boy chuckled, "He'd probably kill me if he knew I took it. Better go give it back before he does." The bear had been in fact fairly filthy, his parents never bothered to wash it, and the stuffed animal had been through quite a bit during Max's time at camp.
Neil turned around to see Max standing there and raised his eyebrows in surprise. "Oh, good morning," he said and waved, walking over to return the bear. Max nodded, he seemed quiet, shy even. The brunette was slightly confused, Max wasn't one to back down easily, this was very new. Max took back his bear and held it to his chest, soaking in the small amount of familiarity he had. "Are you okay?" The taller couldn't help but ask, it was strange to see him this way. A nod was the response. Neil ruffled Max's curly and poofy hair which Max actually let him do willingly. He looked utterly enchanting. "Do you want a tour?" He asked to offer a distraction. Max nodded and smiled slightly, even though everything here was new and foreign to his old life, at least he had this nerd to guide him through it all.
The house wasn't too small, fairly cozy, and felt a lot more open than Max's old home. The ceilings were higher, there were less surrounding walls, and there were bigger doorways. Most of all, it felt free in a way. Not being watched every second, no cameras and no forever closed doors. Neil saved his room for last, since he figured they could stay in there for a bit, and maybe he could offer Max some clothes to change into so they can wash the ones he currently wore. He pushed the door the rest of the way open as he strolled inside, "...And here's my room." Like the rest of the house, not that big, not too small. It was simple; a bed in the corner, a dresser across from it, a desk for homework and other projects, things like that. Max glanced around and nodded. Walking around the house had been nice, relaxing enough to get him affiliated with the place.
"You can grab something to wear," Neil said, pointing towards the closet, "You've been wearing that for at least a couple days." If only. Max thought, shrugging off an eye roll. He didn't want to be a baby about it so he just dismissively waved his hand, "Naw, it's fine. This thing's comfy." The taller boy shook his head, "No you really should. You can take a shower too if you want, my Ma's really keen on that kinda stuff. You'd have to do it anyway later. Just grab somethin-I'll leave." With that, he left the room and closed the door. Max stood there for a moment, not exactly thinking it was necessary, but eventually sighed because Neil was right, he'd have to eventually anyway.
