Chapter 13: First

Derrick's POV

"Naaantok ka na?" Ramdam ko na tingin sakin ni Stella, waking me up from the trance I've been in. Right.. it's been so long since I've.. liked Gemini. It's not normal at this point.. I don't know.

"Uy kanina ka pa nakatulala." Dagdag niya pa kaya lumingon ako sa kaniya.

"Ah.. sorry." Ngiti ko sa kaniya. "Grabe, ano ba iniisip mo? Si g--"

"SHHHHHH." Takpan ko agad ng bunganga niya as she looked at me in a goofy manner. "Don't.. mention the name, alright?" I warned at her before letting go of my hold.

"Zodiac sign nalang ba nickname ko kay you-know HAHAHAHA." Tawa niya as I sighed in frustration. Maybe I shouldn't have told Stella anything. Plus, zodiac sign sounds ridiculous and awfully obvious.  "Ay, ano ba zodiac sign mo?" Biglaang tanong niya.

"Why are you so.. curious? We're not close." Tanong ko pabalik as she smirked at me. "Mhm, well, I don't know what's 'close' for you pero, Ako lang naman yung may alam na may gusto ka kay--"

"Gemini."

"Duh, I know."

"No, I mean my zodiac sign is Gemini."

Sagot ko sa kaniya. Yeah, as.. dumb as it sounds, my zodiac sign is Gemini and.. when I first realized that, I couldn't help but grin like a hopeless romantic at the time.

"LUH? Weh? What are the ODDSSSS RIGHT?" Gulat na salita ni Stella. "Eh si Gemini?"

"Libra!" ?!!!!!!! I could feel my skin chill and my heart almost beat out of my chest when I heard his voice against my ear. Holy. F-ck. That. Surprised me. Very much.

I was left with my hand on my chest, both my eyes widening and my heart thumping hardly as Gemini beamed at me. "HAHAHAHAHAHA." Malakas na tawa ni Stella. I immediately removed my hand on my chest as I tried to stabilize my breathing.

Not red. Not red. Please. Not. Red. Not red. Paulit-ulit kong inisip while I stared at Gemini. "Ginagawa niyo?" Tanong ni Gemini samin, right, be cool derrick. Be cool. Chill. I repeatedly thought that it took me a few seconds to respond to him.

"Ano ba tawag dito sa tingin mo?" I answered sarcastically. Stella, on the other hand, was still motherf-cking laughing at me. Ugh. I probably turned red. ACTUALLY, I'm probably red right now!

Goddamn it.

"Joke lang, alam kong nag-uusap kayo, nakikijoin in lang hehe." Upo ni Gemini sa tabi ko, accidentally bumping shoulders with me causing me to flinch. You're f-cking with me.

I felt someone staring a hole to my face kaya napalingon ako kay Stella. She had a wide smirk on her lips, almost as if mocking me. No, she's actually full-on mocking me! She just mouthed, "I wuv gemini su su much."

Napaiwas nalang ako ng tingin. It's.. well, I can't control it okay? Annoying girl. "Derrick.." tawag ni Gemini sakin kaya napalingon naman ako sa kaniya. "Bumili ako ng.. alak hehe." He whispered, he's so adorable. I don't know. It's just the way he looks.

"Anong gusto mong gawin ko?" Tanong ko sa kaniya, trying my best to stay quiet about how adorable he is right now as he grinned like a dunce which is cute. Really. "Mamya hehe, inom, tayu lang naman, di sila kasama." Bulong niya pa. My heart.. ugh. My heart. Haaaaaah.

Tayo lang? "You serious?" I confirmed, feeling wary of my heart.

"Oo, inom tayong dalawa mamya, gusto ko ikaw kasama ko sa unang inom ko hehe." Dagdag niya pa, my heart thumping faster. Hahahaha. He's driving me nuts.

I inhaled deeply, "Whatever floats your boat." I responded. But deep down, I'm F-CKING UP IN THE CLOUDS RIGHT NOW. SERIOUSLY. MY HEART'S.. UGH. MY HEART IS A CONCERN RIGHT NOW. IN A SERIOUS CONDITION.

"Mga firsts ko, dat ikaw hehe." Dagdag niya pa, his statement making me feel flustered. first?.. you want all your first with me? "Ikaw una kong nakasama maglakwatsa, unang kaibigan na napuntahan ko sa bahay, tas yong sa yosi ba hehe, ang dami na." He went on and on that I realized, he's actually serious.

...This is bad. Tumayo agad ako, surprising Gemini. "I.. I think I have something to do." Salita ko, avoiding showing my face to him. Habang si Stella, she's still smirking while watching us a while ago. Ah bahala na. Mabilis na lakad ko palayo.

I could feel my heart thump out of my chest for each step. Sweat slipping past my forehead despite the cool weather, my face feeling warm all over just.. cause.

And all I can think about is Gemini.
