The next morning, I was shocked when I found myself sleeping in bed with Cris. His hand was wrapping my waist as my head is on his bare chest.

''Shit, how can I end up like this'', slowly, I took his hand from me and get down from the bed quickly.

Damn, my heart is beating faster like it's going to come out any soon. After checking Cris's body temperature, I let a relief breath since his fever reduced a lot. I went back to my back to take a bath.

While bathing, I had an idea to cheer Cris

After preparing everything, I cleaned the house and mop the floor since I found it so dirty. Cris came down after a while.

''you OK now?'', I walked towards him.

''I'm not a kid though'', he muttered exasperatedly when I put my palm on this forehead.

I chuckle. ''come, I got a surprise for you'', saying that, I grab his hand and walk him out.

He looked stunned when the two puppies run around our legs. I got these puppies in that area; the deceased dog's puppies.

''From now on, they are your responsibility OK? Take good care of them on behalf of the mother dog'', I patted his shoulder while smiling.

''I... I can't do it...'', his expression changed.

Holding his hand, I bring it to his chest. ''yes, you can. And I trust you, Cris'', I encouraged him. ''Out of everyone, I trust that you will be a good guardian for them....''

He was looking at me with an unreadable expression. My attention diverted to the puppies that were barking cutely. Cris and I bath those puppies together. They really looked scared on the water.

''What should we name him?'', I asked while drying on the puppies.

''Oh yeah, we need to name him, right?'', he cups his chin while thinking deeply. The other puppy jumped on his lap excitedly which make both of us chuckled at his little stunt. ''Ok, I name you... Choky'', he holds that brown color puppy in his hands as it licks around Cris's face showing that he likes that name.

''How about Spotty for this one?'', I suggested since the puppy I'm holding is has white spots around his black color body.

''Yes nice one'', he smiled.

Both of us went out to the pet shop to buy dogs' food, shampoos, and vitamins for Spotty and Choky. We were so excited to raise them. Cris allowed the dogs to enter the house since I suggested to him that.

Dogs should be treated as our family members, right?

''Hey Remi'', I attended Remi's call. Remi is one of my social media friends. He becomes my close friends after some time. Honestly, I had a big crush on him but brushed it off when I knew that he has a girlfriend.
