FOUR YEARS LATER.....

JANESSA POV

''David, you better come home this month'', I scolded my husband on the phone.

''Hey baby... chill... I'm so sorry OK... Something came up'', he fakes a sad tone.

Shaking my head, I put my clothes in my closet. ''You are really a vanilla guy'', he chuckles with my words.

''I love you wife'', he says huskily.

''Me too husband'', I chuckle.

After ending his call, I turn back and saw him standing at my doorway; putting his hand on his waist while looking at me exasperatedly.

''Sorry Mister. I forgot you'', I said guiltily. ''here, you dress'', I showed him his uniform.

''Mom, I'm late'', he was looking at his wristwatch.

I chuckle seeing my son's reaction. It's his first of school and he's excited as hell.

''Come here baby'', I kneel as he runs towards me and hugs me.

''mommy'', he exclaimed.

''Aww... my son has grown up'', I rub his back.

''Mom, I'm nervous'', he muttered slowly. 

I smile. ''Is this OK?'', I hug him. ''Hugging treatment''. Leaning back, he sees me. ''You can do this OK? Be brave like mom'', I winked.

''Ok mom'', he says confidently.

''Ok, now let's change your dress'', saying that, I wear his uniform on him.

After that, I drop him at his school and waited for him for a few hours since he looked nervous. There are many kids together with him and finally, he made some friends. After bid farewell to him, I go to my office.

Since I need to drop my son for his first day of school, I claim three hours' time off.

''Jane, you and me will be our next team building activities'', Clark informed me when I was switching on my laptop.

''Damn, I hate this'', I scoffed.

''I know right'', he sighed heavily.

I'm still working at this same company although many times I wanted to resign from this job.

''We need to arrange for catering for the team party'', he added.

''Ok we search for it first'', I told him.

''Hey guys, there's a new restaurant's opening ceremony. They are giving free food today'', Gage informed the team. ''Let's go there for lunch'', he suggested.

''I heard about it... One of the popular restaurants on the abroad is opening their branch here'', Connor stated.

Everyone decided to go there for lunch, but I rejected it since I got some work to do and needed to go back on time to pick up my son.

''Hey baby'', I hugged my son when he ran towards me. ''How's school?'', I asked.

''Mom, I made few friends'', he said excitedly. He holds my thumb as we both started to walk in the street.

''Tell me about it'', I smile seeing his expression.

He was telling his experience on his first day of school.

''Mom, look puppies'', Lewis pointed at the park. There are few puppies wandering around with their owner. I smile seeing them.

Choky and Spotty's memories appear in my mind. Are they OK? They must forget about me. When I return to this city after marriage, Chris was gone as well. I guess he started his life with the love of his life.

''mom'', Lewis's high tone of voice snapped me out.

''Yes baby'', I looked down at him.

''Carry me'', he opens his arms. Chuckling, I carried him in my arms. Next month, he's going to be four years old.

I never thought I will have a son. But here, I am. The only person filled my life.

LEWIS

He slept off in my arms. I put him carefully in the back seat. When I wanted to open my car's door, I stopped when I see someone's familiar face. Turning back again, I saw Chris across the road. His eyes were looking at mine; standing alone as his hands are inside his black jacket.

Am I dreaming?

One truck stopped beside the road; blocking my view. Maybe because I was thinking about Choky and Spotty and I feel his presence here. Brushing off my thoughts, I enter my car and drive off.

''Jane, the food was damn nice'', Rachael was sharing her experience eating at that new restaurant.

''Oh ok'', I replied while typing my report.

''Jeez... don't show this uninterested reaction. Clark talked with the owner. He asked whether we can book them to order food for the team's party''

''And?'', I turn to see her.

''And he agreed'', she said happily. ''But damn, he's so handsome. Every girl there drools over for him'', she said heavenly.

I chuckle seeing her reaction.

''I know you are married, Jane but at least have fun sightseeing handsome guys'', she encouraged.

''Thank you but no thank you. I'm fine'', I told her.

''Jeez.. you are hopeless'', she shook her head.
