JANESSA POV

''Mommy'', Lewis was excited to see me when I pick him up from my neighbor. Thank God, she didn't scold me or ask me anything since I didn't return home last night. She's a lovely woman and loves kids.

''Hey baby, I'm sorry... I'm late'', I said guiltily.

''It's OK mommy'', he giggled.

Letting Lewis eats his breakfast, I went to take a bath. I wince when there's tender pain there. Damn... how can I be so careless... Damn Damn...

Oh now, you are regretting Janessa?

When I walk out of my room, I was shocked when I see Coby in the hall.

''what the hell are you doing here?'', I asked him seriously.

He smirked as his eyes were looking at me from up to down. Now I regret to wear this short sleeveless dress which stays above my thighs.

''you are glowing'', he said huskily.

''Get out from my house'', I warned him.

''I will, baby but before that...'', he steps towards me as I step back. ''you need to face me in the court if you refuse to obey me'', he said huskily on my ear. My heart was racing faster.

''LET MY MOTHER GOOO!!'', Suddenly Lewis shouted while hitting Coby's leg.

''shut up you annoying kid!'', he raised his hand to hit Lewis, but I quickly pushed Coby away.

''don't you dare to touch him'', I face him angrily. Coby suddenly looked angry as he pinned my right hand on the wall behind me and cupped my chin roughly.

''I warned you Janessa... this would be my last warning. If you didn't give me an answer within this week, I will make sure you will be doomed'', threatening me, he left me and leave my house.

I drag myself down while crying. Lewis hugged me as he cried in my arms.

''Mommy, I'm scared... don't leave me'', he sobbed.

''What is happening here?'', I lifted my head when I heard Cris's voice. He looked dead serious. Wiping my tears, I stand up; carrying Lewis in my arms.

''Nothing. Just leave'', I told him without seeing him.

He steps towards me; ignoring me he carries Lewis in his arms.

''Hey hero, you OK?'', he asked softly.

''Uncle Cris, I'm scared'', Lewis sobbed.

''why?''

''Because...'', Lewis started hesitantly.

''Lewis...'', I want to stop him from talking but Cris gives me a deadly glare; signing me to not do anything if I don't want to see his wrath.

''Uncle Cody hurts mom... I thought he's a good man. He hurts mom. I let him in. I'm sorry mom'', he sobbed in Cris's arms as I was devastated seeing him.

It was my fault....

Sitting at the side of my bed, I clasp my hands together while bowing down my head. Lewis is now looked calm, thanks to Cris but what should I do anymore?

Someone locks the door. I saw Cris inside.

''who is him?'', he asked me straight away. ''Is that why you were looking stressed up recently?''

I didn't tell him since I'm still reluctant, to tell the truth to anyone. No one knows about this except for David.

''Tell me to damn it. WHAT HE WANTS?'', he shouted at me.
