You're a shooting star I see, a vision of ecstasy.
When you hold me, I'm alive.
We're like diamonds in the sky.- Diamonds, Rihanna.
The next morning, she woke up and glanced at the clock.
It was 2:57.
Am I losing my mind?
She quickly double checked all the doors and windows, and after a tumbler of Macallan, went back to bed.
The following morning, she woke up, yet again with unsual bruises that were not hurting as much as they should be.
Her old ones were now just a pale memory.
She glanced at the dark brown wavy mane on her head, that reached down to her mid waist. She half heartedly tried to tame it, but like always, was unsuccessful.
Her light hazel eyes had bags under them, and her sharp cheekbones were more prominent than ever. The only thing she seemed to have going for her was the fact that her smooth ivory skin was not pasty, or breaking out.
'Yet' she thought.
She frowned as she exited the bathroom.
That day, she went to the town again, and discovered the town's lovely grand library. It was filled with books- mainly in swedish and english, but there were a few other languages too.
It was hours before she was done with the library.
She then found herself walking towards a familiar place.
She walked up to the smiling face of shelly and greeted her.
"Hey! How are you?"
"I am very good. How about yourself?" She asked.
After the pleasantries were done, she placed her order and asked for a take away cup.
Then, she made her way to yet another familiar place- the booth by the window. She just hoped that they wouldn't ask her to move, seeing as she was just one person, and the booth was for atleast two.
After a short while of mindlessly looking at passers by and rushing cars, her drink was delivered in an opaque cup. She quickly stood up- ready to go back, and gingerly took a sip.
Ew, what is this?
She scrunched up her nose in disgust and made a gagging sound.
"Judging by your expression, I can only conclude that you are having my drink" a deep voice spoke from behind her.
She turned back, and her eyes met emerald.
"And we meet again. Bonjour mademoiselle!" He smiled at her.
She glanced at the name on the cup, and indeed it said- Adrian. Then she glanced at the one in his hand- Maddison.
She smiled sheepishly "I just don't like black coffee. No judgment, really."
"Don't worry Skully. Trust me, I could certainly tell that" he told her, still smiling at her, with twinkling eyes.
"They must've made a mistake and mixed up our drinks" Maddy concluded.
"A lucky mistake in my eyes" he declared mischievously.
Maddy did not know what to say to that, so she just scoffed, "How cliché."
He grinned back at her.
They exchanged their drinks, and then Maddy noticed Adrian take a drink from the same cup she was drinking from, a while ago. In all honesty, it was a little unhygienic for Maddy, but surprisingly she truly did not mind.
