There's a room where the light won't find you.
Holding hands while the walls come tumbling down.
When they do, I'll be right behind you.
So glad we've almost made it.
So sad they had to fade it.

- Everybody wants to rule the world, Tears for fears.

Hey, sorry I was busy. I couldn't really talk. Today was a crazy day at the firm.

Maddision was preparing for bed when her phone pinged. She quickly dried her hands, and picked it up.

She settled on making him wait, since he did make her feel like a fool.

She wasn't sure whether it was intentional or not.

So, she took her time.

She slowly got into bed, and pulled the blankets up. Then, she lazily leaned back on her pillow.

Wait, I forgot to pay Axel too for the drink.

She wondered if this forgetting was a serious thing.

Then a yawn over took her. She was feeling suprisingly tired.

Another message came in.

Dont ignore me, amour.

A text literary takes only seconds. You didn't have that?

Don't worry about it. Maddy replied.

His reply was instant.

I mean it. I really am sorry.

Okay. Its fine. She texted back.

It wasn't like they were in a deeply serious relationship. They both had their own lives, and Maddy completely understood that.

Then, what was the pang in her chest that she was feeling?

Her eyelids were becoming heavy now.

As soon as she finished that text, sleep pulled her into its deep arms.

The next morning when she woke up, everything part in her body, was hurting.

Her shoulders.

Her neck.

Her head.

Even her legs.

She groaned.

She stretched her arm to reach for her phone that was on the bedside table.

Her hand met empty space.

She was fully sure that she had placed it there.

She frowned amd sat up.

She looked around the room.

Her phone was on the writing desk in the other corner of the room.

Perhaps, she did not remember placing her phone on the bedside as vividly as she thinks.

She then glanced at the clock, deciding to let this go, for now.

Something on her hand caught her eye.
