I have only felt religion when I've lied with you.
- Colours, Halsey.
The hallway was bustling with activity. Loud laughs, gasps, shouts and lockers being shut enveloped Maddy's ears.
'I know that I was right about the first five questions, so atleast I am not gonna fail. The sixth one was tough, but I think I cracked it. Seventh and eighth were complete jibberish. Ninth and tenth were kinda rocky, leaning more towards wrong though. What if that Kim scores more than me. That would be horrendous.' She frowned as she thought about her calculus test.
One kim terrorizing her online feed was enough, she did not need another one haunting her academic life.
'Perhaps, I can go and be nice to her, and ask her about how she did.' Then, she quickly dismissed the idea.
'Nah, she's a liar, she'll probably say 'Oh! what a difficult test it was, I nearly poked my eyes out.' And when the sheets are returned she would have done the best in class.'
She pulled out her textbook, and snapped the door to her locker shut, angrily.
'What a lying bit-'
There was someone standing right behind her.
She gasped, startled.
"What are you doing?" She asked, putting a hand to her racing chest.
Her wide eyes met mischievous ocean blue ones.
"Not my fault you're always lost in your own world." He grinned at her.
She rolled her eyes, but a smile started making its way onto her face. Then she started walking in the direction of her next class.
Noah joined her, easily falling into steps with her.
He rubbed the back of his neck with his right hand.
He cleared his throat and spoke, "So, what are you doing this Friday?"
Maddy furrowed her eyebrows. She wasn't actually doing anything.
She could almost envision her warm bed, soft blankets, buttery popcorn and netflix.
"Not a lot. Why?" She replied.
"Yeah, if by 'not a lot' you mean binge watching, then yes, you are using the term correctly." he smirked.
"And if not?" She smiled Sheepishly.
This time, he rolled his eyes playfully, "I have several reasons to believe that you are".
"I was wondering, if would you like to come to the game?" Noah finally questioned after a while.
Maddy stopped walking.
"You mean, come to a football game?" She asked surprised.
"Yes." He grinned.
"Let me rephrase, you want me to take time out of my oh-so-busy schedule to watch grown men wearing tights, chase a ball around for hours, tackling each other and practically playing fetch back and forth, all the while, everyone around me is screaming like someone just forced them to watch twilight five times, and that too back to back?" She emphasized.
At this Noah frowned. His eyebrows furrowed and he offered a disbelieving stare.
"You do realise that your boyfriend is the quarterback. Right?" He finally gasped out.
