The way you move is like a full on rainstorm.
And I'm a house of cards.
You're the kind of reckless that should send me running.
But I kinda know that I won't get far.

Maddy was completely engaged in her book- Without conscience by Robert D. Hare. She was almost at the end and was truly entertained by some of the claims in there.

Noah was occupied by his trigonometric homework. His ocean blue eyes narrowed in concentration, arched eyebrows drawn together, and one hand in his coffee brown hair. He was occasionally asking for Maddison's input- that's what it was, 'not help'.

The homework that he should have turned in a week ago. But, everyone knows, star football players 'don't get much time for school work, as coach keeps us practicing, a lot'.

All it took him were puppy dog eyes and a sheepish grin, and Mrs. Dran extended the deadline.

If Maddy rolled her eyes any further, she would be rendered blind.

Luke and Olivia were deeply absorbed in an exceptionally serious conversation- If a physicist invents a time machine, and goes back to the past to inform himself of the mechanics, did he actually built it himself?

Olivia's glacial blue round eyes were filled with confusion, and trimmed eyebrows were raised in frustration.

"He built it. He just went back to tell his past self how to do it sooner." Exclaimed a very mentally exhausted Olivia.

"Okay, if he builds it in the present, goes back to the past and advises himself for the future, didn't he essentially have help? He cannot really take all the credit." Explained Luke, calmly.

His electric blue eyes were uninterested due to boredom, having explained a seriously plain thing more times than he would like to admit.

"Isn't that the exact same thing? Isn't he himself building it in both the times?" Questioned a very perplexed Olivia., wrinkling her straight nose.

"No. See that's the thing. If his future self builds the machine, then that means that humanity actually has tools and technology of that kind to assist him, but if he leaks that to his past self, he is cheating science." Deciphered Luke, running a hand through his dirty blonde hair.

Olivia stared wide eyed at him with astonishment clear on her pretty face, "I never thought of it like that."

"Yeah well, you aren't me." Came the short disinterested reply.

Luke then glanced back to the front, as Mr Smith was back from his short (lasting for about 45 minutes) break.

Olivia was still staring doe eyed at Luke.

Mr Smith cleared his throat, as a signal for the class to quiet down.

No one exactly got the signal. There wasn't any break in the chattering going around the room.

He cleared his throat again, but this time it was accompanied by a holler, that suspiciously sounded like a 'Quiet down' , but nobody could say for sure.

Everyone silently stared at him.

"Our school is organizing a trip to Switzerland, for the summer. It was originally only for the present seniors, but I convinced the headmaster that I have a class full of soon to be seniors who would throw a fit if they learned that, so yeah, y'all are in. Collect the itenaries from the office." His bored face left the room as soon as he got the last word out.
