Veronica Riddle walked besides her mother at platform 9 ¾, their arrogance radiating through the air sorrounding them.
The two Riddle women walked with their head high and posture straight, their pride and elegance making them the centre of attention at the platform, but neither of them cared.
"Now Veronica, don't forget to write as soon as you get there" Camille stopped her daughter and turned to face her
"Of course, mother" the girl nodded
"Write to your father too, he'll appreciate it" The older Riddle said "and to your uncle" this last bit was said in a whisper only Veronica could hear
"I will" Veronica nodded once again
Camille was about to speak but closed her mouth when she saw three people passing by. Veronica turned around to look at who her mother was sending daggers to.
The Diggory's.
"Don't even look at those blood traitors" Camile hissed making her daughter turn around
"I never do, mother" The young girl said turning around looking at her mother, not before she locked eyes with her cousin, Amos Diggory.
"Goodbye Veronica" Camille softly kissed her daughter's cheek as farewell.
"Goodbye, mother" Veronica took her trunk and walked towards the Hogwarts Express
Veronica left her trunk and tried to find her friends' compartment, which most likely was the same as every year. She opened the door and smirked when she saw her friends there.
"Why are you smirking so much?" Narcissa Black asked when she saw her friends' face
"I have a feeling this year is going to be the best" Veronica replied sitting down next to her
Little did she know a certain Gryffindor would walk right into her life and change it forever.
