She opened her eyes. One of her worst mistakes yet. She was in a room. The windows were covering every inch of the room except the left side. The sun was shining brightly through the windows, resting in the middle of the sky, meaning it was either sundown or sunrise.

She took a moment to assess her surroundings. She found that the wall that wasn't covered in windows had a wooden door on the far corner, different paintings and photos covered the other side of the wall, they looked to be from different eras. Next to these paintings was a bookshelf, stocked with more books than a small library. The book shelf touched the floor and reached up to the very top of the roof  — which appeared to be about 12 feet high. She had a pounding headache and her hair was dry. She felt as if all her senses were heightened and couldn't be sure whether she was dead or alive.

She could hear every little sound from the trees rustling to tiny insects marching. She could see very clearly. If she concentrated enough, she could see up to at least 5 miles past wherever she was. Worst of all was the smell. Mia could smell absolutely everything but one smell stuck out the most, it was almost floral, lavender maybe? But no, there was something else. It smelt metallic almost, rusty perhaps. What was that smell?

"You're awake?" a voice called out.

Mia turned her head so fast she felt dizzy. She saw Cedric standing there. She hopped off of the table she was laid on and moved to Cedrics side in a matter of seconds. How did she do that?

"Cedric" Mia started cautiously, eyeing the room. "Where am I?"

A certain emotion passed through his face but she couldn't be sure what it was because he went back to his normal gaze.

"She seems to be suffering brain damage" he forced out a chuckle.

"Edward" a familiar voice warned.

Mia turned around to reveal yet another handsome man. He looked young, probably in his early 20's. He had slicked back blonde hair and honey coloured eyes, his skin was just as pale as Edwards and he had the same purple colour surrounding his eyes. A beam of light was slicing through his arm and that's when she noticed. He was glowing, not in a you're-so-beautiful-you're-glowing kind of way, he was literally glowing. It looked like he had sparkles stuck on his kin where the sun hit. It was beautiful, mesmerising even.

He noticed Mia staring and smiled at her. He reached his hand out and grabbed her's, swiftly pulling her into the sunlight. Mia looked down to see that she was also glowing. Did they stick glitter onto her while she slept?

"Why am I..." she struggled to find the words, "Sparkly?" She finally choked out.

When no one answered she turned her head into Edward's direction, his head was turned away from Mia. His jaw was clenched.

"Let's get you something to drink first" Carlisle spoke, a sheepish smirk covered his face. Did Mia miss an inside joke?

.

"What?" Mia spat out, "I am not killing it, in what universe would I ever do that?"

"In this one" the girl with blonde hair spoke, Rosalie.

She was so gorgeous she put every girl in the entire continental peninsula to shame. Her gold locks reached down to her waist and she had a beautiful smile which she so rarely used. she had a slim build and full lips, she was just as pale as the rest of them but she looked more... alive? She wasn't actually a Cullen, her and the blonde boy Jasper were Hale's, siblings. Esme and Carlisle had adopted them along with Edward, Emmet and Alice. Although Edward, Alice and Emmet had no relation to one another. It was a confusing family really but Mia admired what the Cullens did.

"Look if you're not gonna eat it I will, you can starve for all I care" she spoke, getting into a crouching stance behind a tree.

"Remind me again why I'm eating a house pet?" Mia tilted her head.

"He's not a house pet, he's dinner and it's because you're a vampire. Edward really knows how to pick em" she sarcastically commented

"Yeah right" Mia snorted, choosing to ignore Rosalie's last comment, "I would sell my first born before eating that"

"Look I'll get him for you okay?" Rosalie stated more than asked.

Before Mia knew it the deer was ripped to shreds, blood pouring everywhere. She wanted to gag, to run and scream but the smell, it was so good. It's like she didn't have any control of herself and before she knew it she was drinking its blood, sinking her teeth into its skin. After the deer looked like a raisin Mia stood up. Her clothes, arms and face were covered in blood. For some reason it finally clicked. She was, in fact, a vampire. Mia was disgusted with herself. She couldn't bear to face Rosalie so she ran. She stopped in front of the Cullens house and was faced with a sad looking Esme.

She reached her hands out and Mia wrapped herself in them, in the few hours of her being a vampire she has become a motherly figure. Something about her always made her feel so calm. Or maybe it was because Jasper was in the corner using his emotion sensitive gift.

"Let's get you cleaned up" Esme put her hand on Mia's lower back and guided her to the showers.

Esme took Mia's clothes to wash and ran the shower for her. Esme would never know how much Mia appreciated this.

Mia stepped into the steamy shower cubicle and let the hot water relax her muscles. She stood there hugging herself and letting the warm water undo all the tangles in her hair and wash away all the blood. She grabbed the shampoo and let it ooze onto her fingers and messaged her scalp thoroughly and then let the soap drip down from her head to the bathroom floor. She continued this with her conditioner and then cleansed her body with soap. The whole process calmed her.

She finally turned the handle in the shower and the water came to a halt. She stepped out and wrapped a towel around her body. Staring at herself, she touched her face. Merlin, she was paler than before, she had a light blush covering her cheeks and her hair was sticking to her neck. It was a dark black. She ran her fingers through her hair and then put her hands down onto the sink.

A knock at the door startled her and she turned around quickly as Edward entered. He was wearing a black hoodie and a grey t-shirt was peeking out from underneath.  even though he was wearing such a thick hoodie you could still his muscle definition. He had black sweatpants on and black socks to match. This was probably the most relaxed and informal she had ever seen him. She looked up at his face and their eyes locked.

Without moving his eyes from hers, he finally spoke, "I didn't know what clothes you liked" he shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly, "I gave you a few options, they're my clothes so they might be a bit big" she saw his hand move, carrying the clothes from the corner of her eye.

It was then that she realised that she was in a towel, in Edward Cullens bathroom, with Edward Cullen, about to wear Edward Cullens' clothes.

She stared at the floor and snatched the clothes from his hand. He walked out in one swift motion and then she heard the door shut. Mia buried her hands into her face.

She looked onto the floor where she had now dropped the clothes she had received and began choosing what to wear. He had given Mia various different hoodies to choose from, perhaps to ensure that she didn't get cold which is quite frankly impossible.

Mia had done some reading on vampires in her time at Hogwarts and recalled that they aren't heat or cold sensitive.

There were a few t-shirts here and there, a pair of socks, a pair of black sweat pants and a pair of black cotton shorts that looked to be one of the girls. She settled on a grey jumper, the black cotton shorts and the spotted socks. She exited the shower and walked down the stairs finding all of the Cullens sitting around a table.

"What's this?" She raised a skeptic brow

Emmet simply chuckled, finding some humour in her situation.
