Keefe's POV (Betcha didn't see that coming!)

My best friend now has a girlfriend that he didn't tell me about!  But Fitz always tells me important things about his life.

It's really strange, just like his girlfriend.  Olivia always seems on edge when the Vackers or I mention Sophie Foster.

"Keefe!" I hear Della call.

"Yes, Della?" I ask turning around.

"This came for you," Della says, holding out a envelope, "Flelf found it."

"Thanks," I say, accepting the envelope.

"Who's it from?" Della asks.

I look down at the paper, "Uh, just a friend."

"Oh, okay," Della says with a frown.

"Thanks again, Della," I say turning around.

There in my hand is another letter from my father.

I hurry towards my room and lock the door.

Once I'm sure the door is properly locked, I sit on my bed and wonder if I should open the letter.

"What could be the harm?" I ask myself.  "There is nothing he could do to change my mind.  Fitz said the Neverseen was the good group of rebel elves, but is that true?

"I mean, all this started with the girl that Fitz claims to be his girlfriend, but why would Fitz not mention this girl before, and if he had a girlfriend then why would he go on dates with Sophie?  Or why would Fitz not mention his girlfriend to me, I mean I thought we were best friends?"

Eventually I choose to open the letter from my father.

Dear Keefe,

I would once again like to reach out to you about joining the Neverseen.  Joining would help your reputation as a trouble maker go away.  Also you would be able to make changes in world alongside the Neverseen.

Consider it my son, it will affect your life for the better,

Your Father

I roll my eyes it is always the same message, why hasn't my father gotten it through his thick skull that I am not interested in join his little group?

A knock sounds on my door.

"Come in," I say.

"I can't," the voice says outside my door.

"Why?"

"The door is locked," I hear the voice say, and I'm almost certain that the owner of the voice rolled their eyes.

"Oh! Right, I forgot about that," I say standing up and walking towards my door.

"Obviously," the voice drawls.

I quickly unlock the door and there stands, Biana.

"Biana!  What are you doing here?"

Biana quickly steps into my room, closes the door and, locks it.

"I'm here to help you," Biana says.

"What do you mean?"

"I heard about that letter you got-"

"How?  Della?"

"Not important, anyway and I'm here to get you to safety."

"What is the danger?  And shouldn't you be taking Fitz to safety or better yet, shouldn't someone be taking you to safety?"

"I'm safe where I am," says Biana, "and Fitz has already fallen."

"Fallen from what?  Fitz is alive right now, probably kissing Olivia!"

Biana rolls her eyes, "Olivia is the danger, so is whoever's writing you those letters."

"But why would they contact me?"

"You're the only other younger elf that they can control."

"Who's controlling you?"

"They're not controlling me but, the Black Swan."

"Didn't Fitz say the Black Swan was the 'bad' group of rebel elves?"

"You can't trust a single thing that Fitz says at the moment," Biana declares.

"Why?"

"Because he is being controlled."

"By who?"

"By me."

I love cliffhangers!  But only when I'm writing them, I hate reading cliffhangers!

BQ:  What is the book Keefe is writing about his bodyguard?

PQ:  What would you do if your friend was dating someone who is likely to leave them once someone else caught their eye?  And you don't approve of who their dating?

Another PQ: What do you do when you're mad?

I tend to draw things that are dangerous and Mythological or something that means something to me!

You're all so amazing! I'm so lucky that all of you are reading my story, I really appreciate you!
