Fred Weasley kissed me.
It felt as though we were the only two people in the world he was the only one who mattered, the only one who could make me feel like this, he made me feel safe.
Fred put his hand on my cheek deepening the kiss.
We finally pulled away out of breath as we rested our foreheads against each other. We stayed in this position just looking at each other smiling like idiots. We were interrupted when George walked down the stairs from the boy's dorm room clearing his throat.
"It's about bloody time" he says throwing his arms up in the air.
Harry walked into to common room with Hermione and Ron on either side of him.
"Potter you owe me 5 galleons" George says stretching his hand out.
Harry dug around in his pocket and pulled out 5 shiny gold coins.
"You guys were betting on us?!" I ask while rolling my eyes.
George and Harry just look at each other and don't say a word.
"Well we better be heading up to bed then, don't want to miss the train back now would we?" Harry says grabbing Ron's arm and dragging him up to the boy's dorms.
Fred gives me a soft smile kisses me on the cheek and makes his way to his dorm with George.
I turn around and I'm met with a Hermione with the biggest smile on her face, I go to talk but she cuts me off right away.
"You have so much to tell me" She says with a squeal while dragging me up to our dorm.
I explain the whole situation that happened with Fred to her and what had just happened before they got into the common room.
She sat there her jaw basically on the floor then started jumping up and down.
"Bloody hell y/n, that's amazing" She says sounding more excited than me.
I let out a small giggle but then her face drops and she looks me dead in the eyes.
"But now I need to ask you something more important" She says looking down at her hands.
"Ok" I say shifting uncomfortably in my spot.
"When Peter Pettigrew said you were valuable to the dark lord, what did he mean?" she says like playing with her hair and avoiding eye contact with me.
I take a sharp breath in trying to figure out how I was supposed to tell my best friend that I was with Harry the night Voldemort that night, that his mom was the one who saved the two of us, that Harry and I were the only ones who could defeat he who must not be named.
"Well, that night Voldemort came to kill Harry, Harry wasn't the only one he was after" I say looking at my bushy haired friend trying to examine any emotion she was showing.
"He was after me too. I just happened to be at the Potter's that night, you see because Sirius was best friends with the Potters. Well, Voldemort found us both and attempted to kill the both of us. But Lily her love protected Harry and I and vanished Voldemort" I finish, a few tears falling down my cheeks.
I couldn't help but feel a little guilty for the death of Lily and James Potter.
Hermione just looked at me and took me into her arms, I finally let go letting it all out I begin sobbing into my best friend's arms.
"I-I'm sorry didn't tell you, I-I was scared" I say between sobs.
"You don't need to explain yourself" She says in a soft loving tone.
I guess I ended up falling asleep because the next thing I remember was waking up in my bed and Hermione in hers.
I get up and look through my trunk to make sure I have everything, I wake up Hermione telling her we have to go to breakfast so we don't starve on the train back home and she gets up and follows me out of the dorm.
We make our way to the great hall together in silence, but not in that weird awkward silence it was a comfortable silence.
Once we enter the great hall I scan the room a familiar pair of honey brown eyes. Once I made eye contact with them my face lit up. I happily make my way over to Fred with a little hop in my step.
Life was finally going my way, no crazy person trying to kill me or Harry nobody trying to hurt me, I felt at peace, I felt safe.
Fred saw me and waved me over shoving George away so I could have the spot next to him.
"Fred, George" I say nodding my head at the two of them.
We sit there for a few moments just talking and eating when George throws his fork down onto his plate.
"So are you guys just not going to explain last night?!" He says anxiously.
Fred and I exchange amused looks and I kiss him on the cheek while standing up.
"Maybe later" I say with a shrug while walking away.
I hear Fred burst out in laughter while George just lets out an irritated grunt.
I grab my trunk from my dorm and make my way to the front of the castle waiting for the rest of my friends.
I'm greeted by Ron, Harry, and Hermione.
"Oh y/n I forgot to tell you, Dumbledore sent your stepmom an owl explaining the whole situation and she agreed to let you stay at the Weasley's with me this summer until Sirius get's his situation sorted out" Harry says as the four of us walk onto the train together.
"Really that's wonderful!" I say full of excitement of what this summer could hold in store for me.
The whole train ride all I could think about was how amazing this summer was going to be however, I was pulled out of my thoughts due to the train coming to a stop indicating that we had reached platform 9 3/4.
I grab my trunk from the compartment above and drag it off the train following closely behind Ron and Harry, I give Hermione a hug and remind her to write me this summer before making my way over to the Weasley family.
Molly makes eye contact with me and Harry and gives us both bone crushing hugs.
"I'm so glad you two could stay with us this Summer" the plump woman says releasing us from her grip.
"Us too" I say looking around for Fred.
Suddenly I feel two arms slink around my waist a familiar voice speaks from behind me.
"Looking for me love" Fred says with a smirk on his face.
I turn around and wrap my arms around him and burying my head into his chest.
