After returning from the movies, Ganke and I went into our apartment. I was really excited to be honest because he had some new designs for my Spidey-Suit.
We dumped our bags on my bedroom floor. Mom was not gonna be back until later on in the night- which was great. She couldn't find out that I was Spider-Man. She'd freak.
I sat myself on the bed and took my thick black winter coat off. I hung it on the peg behind the door.
"Like I was saying earlier, Miles, the suit needs to grow up." Began Ganke slowly.
"Grow up?" I implored, slightly confused as to what he was trying to say to me. "Like as in change?"
"No, like, a major downgrade. Of course I mean upgrade." Sarcastically put Ganke, now rummaging through his backpack. "Remember the specs I wanted to show you?"
"Yeah." I hesitantly replied. I had just realised that Ganke had the suit in his bag. I was hyping up about it. "It's here?"
Ganke nodded lightly, moving out of the way for me to see the suit he had designed for me. There it was in all it's black, white and red glory. I touched just a bit of it and felt the smooth texture of the suit. It was amazing.
I raised my body away from the backpack and held the brand new suit in both my hands. I pressed it against myself as if I was wearing the suit in the mirror.
"This suit's only for dangerous missions only, dude." Stated Ganke, shaking his head at my humorous superhero gestures.
"Man, I was really looking forward to this thing." I moaned, laying flat on my back with the suit beside me.
"Someday, dude for n-" Said Ganke, who was interrupted by the loud bangs coming from outside our apartment.
Before either of us could speak anymore, a series of worried screams followed the crashes. Both Ganke and I had leaned over my window to see what was going on.
A group of people dressed in a glowing purple had some super dangerous and mysteriously glowing items. They were marching after the screaming crowds of people.
I had also remembered that mom was in the townsquare. I needed to stop these guys and save my mom.
I began to remove my clothes, thankful that my suit was underneath to spare Ganke's eyes. I kept my mask in my hand and turned around to face him.
"Hop onto that laptop and open our hacking project." I instructed, now putting the mask on. "We need to find out who these guys are this time."
Ganke obediently grabbed his laptop and logged onto our hacking project. It was something we had made with our friends back in Brooklyn. I really wanted to please Spider-Man back then with it, but I had forgotten to show it to him.
I shot one of my webs and watched Ganke from the roof sprinting with the laptop under his arm. I was praying that he wouldn't break it.
I swung my way toward the danger and perched myself on a part of a building once again. I had my phone on speaker to check where Ganke was.
"Who are these guys, bro?" I asked hoarsely in order to avoid being heard.
"According to NYPD's sources, these are just the very few of Roxxon." Replied Ganke from the other side of the line.
"They're Roxxon!" I gasped, my Spidey-eyes widening slightly. "What are they doing here? What do they want?"
"Whatever's in that van, man." Quietly said Ganke. "Call you back with more info?"
"Sure." I responded, watching Ganke hold up on me.
So these were the guys who wrecked Paulo's Ice Cream the other time. I thought to myself. It's now my turn to wreck something.
I'll get there eventually with these hero lines. I was really worried because the only thing I knew was to swing and fight. I didn't know what I was capapble of.
