"Hey, Molases! Come here." Teased Phin, using her head to gesture that I should come over to the room that she was in. Way away from Ganke and mom. "Don't be shy Short Stuff."

"You know I'm taller than you now." I laughed, leaning on the window pane like she did.

"Physically you are, but not up here." She teased, pointing at her head to represent my brain.

"Hey!" I said, playfully shoving her.

The two of us had stared out into Harlem. Neither of us speaking for nearly two minutes. Then, she turned slightly to the side and opened her mouth to speak.

"Did you really miss me? Like your mom had said?" Asked Phin insquisitively. Her voice sounded soft for once.

"Of course. You're awesome, Phin." I admitted, now feeling pretty shy.

"Truth. You're awesome too, I guess." Also admitted Phin, smiling slightly.

"Did you miss me?" I asked, with a hint of a smirk in the left side of my face. "While I was at BVA?"

"Well, yeah." Replied Phin, now facing me. "Okay, Miles, let's not make this mushy."

I wasn't. It was her and how she was talking to me. It was gentle and very natural. I liked it a lot.

We resumed back to facing forwards and  staring at the wonderful view of Harlem. The silence was awkward, but I didn't want to be the first to break it.

Phin suddenly turned around and had faced me. She was staring deep into my eyes. I think I was getting lost.

She moved slightly forward. Much closer to me. Coincidentally we were stood under the Mistletoe on Christmas Eve.

"I missed you." She softly breathed, while staring at my lips.

"I, uh, missed you too." I responded, looking down at her.

Before we knew it the two of us were leaning in for a kiss, but all that stopped when Ganke had entered the room.

"Ganke!" I snapped, raising both my arms in disbelief.

"Woah, dude. I was only coming to tell you that dinner was ready." Stated Ganke, suspiciously glaring at the both of us. "Am I missing something here?"

"No. Just go. We'll be there, man." I muttered, placing my hands on my face and sighing.

"C'mon, Short Stuff, food's gonna get cold." Began Phin, stroking me across my chest on her way toward the dinner table.

I watched her leave and checked my hands. They were very sweaty.

How could I possibly get so nervous around someone I had known for so long?

This was normal.
