I was swinging through Harlem and admiring the beautiful architecture and festive environment.
The cat ,that was in my backpack, kept jolting around. It seemed so apprehensive and tense. I didn't want the little guy to feel like that.
I paused at a place and had pulled the cat out of the bag. Instantly, it had calmed down and had began to purr.
Thank God it was okay.
I put it back in my bag and had continued to swing over to the Bodega.
I landed outside it and was ready to reach for the door handle, but Hailey had gotten there first from the other side.
I didn't even know that she was gonna be at the Bodega and neither did she know that I was gonna be there.
We had stared at each other for roughly a minute before attempting to politely walk away from each other. To make it less awkward between us, I had laughed in a non-voluntary flirtatious manner and had waved her goodbye.
She smiled, while beginning to head her way. I couldn't help, but to check her out. My Spidey-eyes becoming all googly with admiration.
She's cute.Very cute. I said in my head, smirking under my mask. Alright, back to the main mission.
I opened the shop door and gave Teo a heads up.
"Hey, Teo, I think this belongs to you." I greeted, rummaging in my bag for the cat. The cat had popped its head out of the bag and faced its owner.
"Spider-Man!" Emotionally yelled Teo, watching the cat run up to him with energy.
Wait, the cat's name is Spider-Man? I asked. Confused.
"Thanks, Spider-Man." Thanked Teo thankfully now looking at me, while stretching out for a fist bump.
I bro-fisted him back and just watched him play with Spider-Man for a little bit.
When I was all ready to head out for the door, Teo had shouted out to me, causing me to turn back around and walk back over to him.
"Spider-Man, is there anything else I can do for you?" Asked Teo, looking at me over the counter.
"Uh, I may need your, uh..." I began, stumbling over my words.
"Spider-Man? My cat?" Asked Teo, pointing at Spider-Man.
"Yeah. Yeah." I replied, feeling confident with my answer. "Could use a helping hand,uh, paw."
"Sure." Freely replied Teo, allowing his cat to walk away from him and come towards me.
I placed a small Spider-Man mask over the cat's eyes, while placing a white shirt, a red hoodie with an upside down Spider-Man logo and my red Adidas sneakers on for myself.
We were now Spider-Man and Spider-Cat- just to make things way less confusing. To be honest, I was liking the look altogether, so was Teo.
He was too busy admiring my fashion-sense. Another sense I had other than Spider-Sense.
Now that would be a great quip. Man, if Pete could see me now.
"Go get 'em, Spidey." Encouraged Teo reassuringly.
"Will do." I assured, running out the store with Spider-Cat.
The both of us were ready for action. I suddenly got a buzzing feeling from my communicator. It was Ganke.
I had almost misunderstood the buzzing to be an insect.
"Hey, man. What's the drill?" I greeted, still swinging with Spider-Cat in my backpack.
"Dude, the bank on 127th Street. You copy?" Asked Ganke, briefly.
"Copy. On my way now." I shortly said, listening to Ganke hang up.
These thugs were gonna regret messing with us. By us, you know who I meant. Me and Spider-Cat.
Also, I gotta talk to Phin. I need to know what she's up to. I thought to myself.
All this was so hard to keep up with. With Roxxon being my biggest threat to Harlem, I had realised that I don't have time for my friends anymore.
