Happiness is a funny concept, actually, all feeling are. Happiness is just the mix of chemicals in your brain, giving you this warm, energetic feeling in your body.

I mean, happiness is just Dopamine, Serotonin, Oxytocin, and Endorphins, which is a crazy concept because if you lack just one of those chemicals your mood is completely different.

You seemed to have a serotonin deficiency, considering it was something you rarely felt any other emotion apart from depression.

However, the body can learn to produce these chemicals and to feel the happiness that comes with this chemical mix even if it's for a moment is enough to remind you to hold on.

"Oh my god!" Olivia exclaimed as she spotted you at the airport. She raced towards you and jumped in your arms, snuggling her face into the crook of your neck.

"How are you?" You asked as she jumped back down to her feet.

"I'm good, I'm excited for this special David Rossi party." Olivia beamed.
"I mean who even has a party on Christmas day?"

"Someone who doesn't have much family, and works on an unpredictable schedule, with a bunch of other people who also work on an unpredictable schedule" You explained.

"Of course, where's Spencer?" Liv frowned looking around the airport.

"He's gone to get your bag, it thought it would save time" You replied.

"How does he know which one it is?" She questioned.

"Because your suitcase is pretty unique." You chuckled as you both headed to the luggage pick-up section of the airport.

"Yeah, I guess having a lesbian flag suitcase is unique, everyone else's is super boring," She sighed linking her arm under yours.

As you walked, you bumped into Spencer who had Liv's suitcase in hand.
"Well, Dr. Reid it is a pleasure to see you again" Olivia smiled emphasizing her British accent.

Because Olivia moved to the US when she was 11, her British accent was pretty hard to spot, sometimes it would come out on certain words but a lot of the time she just sounded American.

Sometimes she liked to pretend to people who didn't know her that she was American, then impress them with her 'fake' British accent. Of course, it wasn't fake, it was how she used to sound.

You on the other hand never really lost the accent, certain words would sometimes have a slight American twang to them, but most of the time, it was easy to know where you came from.
