7 hours... 7 hours and 36 minutes of waiting in the bright, loud, uncomfortable hospital waiting room.

You seemed fine when the team found you-- Ok, not fine, but stable, then you passed out and everything went downhill very fast.

You regained consciousness several times on your way to the hospital before passing out again. At one point your heart stopped and restarted again, another time you began coughing up an alarming amount of blood.

In other words, you were deteriorating fast, it was amazing that you weren't dead already, especially after all the trauma your body had been through in the last 2 days.

Once you got to the hospital, they rushed you into surgery, leaving the team to wait.
"Strauss?" Hotch frowned looking across the waiting room and spotting his boss, heading towards the team.

"Hotchner, how is she?" Strauss asked curiously.

"Still in surgery" Hotch sighed.

"Oh... I-uh... I'm sure you're all wondering why I'm here. I've found a private room where we can discuss it" Strauss mentioned awkwardly.

In confusion, the team followed Strauss and sat down in the room.
"I want to begin by telling you all, that I understand the effects my actions had on this team, but more specifically Y/n..." Strauss began.

No one could register the information Strauss had told them, hence why no one spoke for hours.
"Are you here for Y/n Y/l/n?" The surgeon asked walking up to the team.

"Yes," Spencer replied.

"She's out of surgery, she had a sufficient amount of internal bleeding that we had to stop. It seems she was beaten and whipped, and those injuries will take a long time to heal..." The surgeon began.

"She has a sprained tibia on the left ankle and a broken fibula on the right ankle. She has also broken her radius bone in her right wrist, and broken 2 of her ribs, meaning she will be on some heavy pain killers for a while..."

"However, she should heal from all those injuries, what we were most worried about was her head injuries..."

"There was a bleed in her brain, in the cerebrum which is near the back of the-"

"I know where it is" Spencer cut in.

"Sorry, as I was saying, we had to give her surgery to stop the bleed, and we managed to do that successfully, but with surgeries like that, there can be complications" The surgeon explained.
