Mullaikaaga Kathirin Thedal

One week after Pongal, PS family had come to Mullai's house to finalise their talks regarding Kathir and Mullai. The bride seeing ceremony finally ended up to be a family get together. The family had developed too much trust in both Kathir and Mullai's relationship before they both even spoke with each other. Something about them made everyone feel like they were already married the minute they both gave their consent.

Mullai agreed when she heard her mother's conversation with Kathir and how happy it had made Parvathy. She didn't give much thought into it since it just felt right for her. Kathir had wanted their engagement to be held only before the day of their wedding. Of course, it was to take place after Jeeva's marriage. Jeeva had in the meantime opened up about his love for Meena. It was taken lightly until he mentioned who's daughter Meena was. They had somehow wanted Jeeva's happiness over everything and they decided to process it slowly.

Kathir looked at his family spread across the hall in gangs talking and laughing about things they felt important. They had forgotten the real reason why they had assembled in his mama's house. There was no difference he could find till now from their usual get-togethers other than he had found Mullai wearing a saree and she had worn a bright smile on her face once she saw him. Her saree and her smile were both the best thing that happened till now for him. When he was getting fed up with everyone around, he heard her voice "Appa na avuga kitta konjam pesanum... ippa pesalaama?"

He didn't know what made him more happy, whether the fact that she was also wanting someone to insist them to have a conversation or her first "Avuga". Her 'avuga' has some bonus points for sure. They were sent to the terrace immediately with some tea and snacks. It took time to compose themselves and they gave each other some minutes of silence before speaking up by drinking their tea.
