~ Words that Stirred her Heart - 1 ~

It's been one month since Mullai returned back from Madurai and she was in a happy place in her life. The things happening around her seemed to work exactly the way she wanted it to be. From the time she started to dream of marrying into her athai's family, the only major setback was her Lakshmi athai's anger. Her constant visits to their house in these two years worked magic and to add to it her father had found ways to mend with his sister too. The last two months had been so overwhelming for her because she knew her marriage with Jeeva mama was the welcomed topic in both the households.

Mullai had a very simple, happy life for all these 23 years. Even though the death of her favourite Pandian mama and the separation from their family caused her sorrow, she has been the apple of her parents' eye. She was never denied anything she wished for and her wishes had always been real and close to life and nothing beyond her parents capacity. She is a girl who makes the happiest atmosphere around her no matter where she is.

And now Mullai is happily enjoying the return back from hostel to her house, as she was always a home person, her family is her joy. College meant only studies and some beautiful time with a very few close friends. She was a very jovial person who conversed with everyone around her with complete ease but never had a personal close friendship except with a few.

Monday morning was no more haunting and she woke up to the smell of her favourite amma's coffee. She freshened up and went to the hall to be pampered by her father. They had their breakfast and settled down leisurely in their veranda talking about anything that came to mind.

Mullai: Aama pa.. Indhu rombave mana neraiva iruku.. Na aasa patta vaazhka, athuvum ennaku romba pudicha veetulaye na marumagala poga porenu nenaikum bothu avalo sandhoshama iruku... unga rendu petha vittutu poganum nu ore varutham thaan...

Murugan: Ada enna ma nee.. Inga iruku akka veedu.. Eppa venumo vanthu poikalaam... ippadi kannu munnadiye ponna katti kodukura varam ellam ethana pethuku kedaikum...

Extreme happiness was an understatement for Mullai at that moment. She saw her mother quietly listening to the pasamalar conversation between her father and herself without uttering a word. She had a doubt whether she was as happy with this as they both were.

Mullai: Enna ma.. Ivalo amaithiya iruka... nee enakum appakum naduvula vanthu ethavathu karuthu sollalana enaku oru vidhama etho vilangamave thonuthu...

Parvathy: Athu seri.. Un vaai iruke... Na ennadi solla indha vishayathula... appavum ponnum mudivu pannitu thaana enkitaye sonneenga... ippa ennadi na nenaikurathula unaku avalo akkara..

Mullai: En ma ippadi laam pesura... un virupam enaku mukiyam illatha maari.. Unaku ithula unmaiyave sandhosham illaya? Engalukaaga than othukitiya...

Mullai became visibly sad and she wanted this marriage to be a complete happy affair. To know her own mother was not happy, was disheartening to her.

She was honestly relieved listening to her mother speak highly of them.

She smiled and moved in to carry out the daily chores. Mullai went in to get ready for the temple visit with a lot of contentment.
