The next week was really a new beginning for Kathir-Mullai. They couldn't spend time with each other like the previous week due to heavy work on both sides but still Kathir made sure he informed her whenever he couldn't come home for food and checked up on whether she ate her meals in the right time. He never missed it even once from then on. Their conversations didn't even last a minute in call but gave them so much happiness and an energy to face anything that comes their way in the day. He came really late on all days and they both only needed sleep in each other's arms after their respective tiring day.

That week Sunday, Lakshmi amma invited Parvathy and Murugan to spend the day with them and made sure they promised to be there with them every week. Meena too felt like she was spending time with her own parents when she was with Mullai's parents. The pregnancy news of Dhanam had made Parvathy so happy and also Kathir being so close to them made her to let go of all the past and helped her to start fresh with all of them. Lakshmi amma and Meena's praise about how Mullai was such a great daughter-in-law to this house and their thought that without her they could have never managed this tough situation was making both Murugan and Parvathy so proud. Everything was so perfect and Kathir too believed it to be when Lakshmi amma conveyed her contentment after they left, about getting her brother's family completely back.

The whole family was so happy and when he came back to their room, he saw that there was something that was bothering Mullai. She wasn't angry or sad but there was a kind of confusion and awkwardness in the way she behaved with him. Or was it guilt? He asked her a few times even though she tried her best to cover it up and pushed it aside with the easy excuse of being extremely tired. He knew she was lying but he thought to give her some time. She would definitely tell him if things were really serious. He went to sleep with a feeling that something was really wrong somewhere.

The next day when he was busy with a delivery, Parvathy called him and asked him to come home immediately and she had to talk to him about something very important. She was scaringly stern in the way she spoke. He reached Mullai's home as soon as possible and he felt his heart do a somersault to find Parvathy really angry. Murugan's absence today and Mullai's strange behaviour yesterday kind of made him connect the dots. But what came at him was something beyond his imagination.
