Next day, first thing in the morning, Dhanam and Moorthy left to meet their family doctor. They knew it was their decision but just wanted to do a general checkup and discuss about Dhanam conceiving at this later point in their married life. They came back home genuinely happy. They had decided yesterday night to disclose their secret of not wanting a child of their own when Kathir, Jeeva and Kannan were growing up.

The whole family was shocked at first but understood Moorthy and Dhanam's state of mind about a decade before when they all were sinking in despair. They also informed that the doctor said they can live as a normal couple and hopefully Dhanam will bear a child soon. All were overwhelmed with joy. Kannan shared this to Jeeva-Meena who left for Kodaikanal a few hours back. Meena had been feeling guilty since yesterday for abusing Dhanam more than necessary, whatever it is Meena knew how good a person Dhanam is.

The outburst of Meena had somehow been so boonful to the family that everyone was thankful about yesterday's turn of events. Dhanam thanked Mullai with tears in her eyes holding her hands "Ellarum antha nodi naan varutha pada koodathunu nenachaanga aana nee maatum thaan en vaazhkai pura enaku indha nilamai marupadiyum vara koodathunu nenacha... ennoda sandhoshatha pathi yosicha... unmaiyave enakunu oru thangachi irundha idha thaan pannirupa... nandri solli unna pirichu paaka naan virumbula Mulla...".

Mullai hugged Dhanam and cried on her shoulders. She just wanted to speak up for Meena and make everyone understand her side problems too. But seeing Dhanam cry had pricked her heart so much that she ended up saying something she never thought she would utter openly in her life. These things were said to Mullai by Parvathy and she had always disregarded it scolding her mother to mind her business. But asking them to meet a doctor would have turned out to be the rudest thing she did, if really Dhanam had a problem in conceiving and she had not wanted to tell all. But somehow everything had gone extremely advantageous to them all.

Amidst all happy faces, there were two hearts who didn't know why they had created a vacuum between them in all these chaos. Mullai knew Kathir would react exactly the way he did if she stands against their family. She shouldn't have in the first place made him choose between her and the family. But somewhere in the corner of her mind she hoped he would choose her also and she got disappointed. She at least wished he believed her to not intend harm to anyone in their house with her words or deeds.

Pulling her mother in the issue was where she got hurt. What her family did to his family could never be forgotten? But everytime someone mentioned it, calling her mother evil hurts her so much. This time it was her Kathir who didn't want her to turn out to be like how Parvathy was to the family. It broke her from within to be that untrustworthy to her man. The hate she saw in Kathir's eyes for a fraction of a second when he shouted at her yesterday was more than she could take.

Kathir, on the other hand, didn't know how to set things right between them again. He definitely knew Mullai was not even thinking something bad especially when it comes to their family. But somewhere lately her growing support for Meena sowed a little fear in his mind and their morning argument added to this all. Whenever Mullai had spoken against Dhanam, Kathir couldn't resist himself from seeing a tinge of Parvathy in her.

He had been convincing him from morning that he was over-thinking this issue. But when he heard her mention seeing the doctor to Dhanam, he had lost his mind. He had seen many people hurting Dhanam with the very same words his wife spoke. He had shown his frustration of not doing anything when people had insulted Dhanam, to Mullai. He spoke those words with no love towards her and he couldn't stop himself from regretting what he did.

She had served him breakfast later but her eyes never seemed to meet his. He also was afraid of speaking anything in a hurry and honestly didn't know what to do to make everything between them as pleasant as before. He left to the shop half heartedly and was totally disheartened in the afternoon when he came for lunch. Dhanam told him that Mullai had left for her parents house and he didn't stand there to listen to her completely. He just reached her house and ran to where she was. Murugan, confused at first to see him there at that time, had told him she was in the kitchen.
