Meena had been trying really hard to fit into the PS household for the past two weeks. She felt lots of their restrictions and conversations baseless. Too much of anything will make it lose its value. Their love towards each other was known to all and Meena felt like displaying it day and night was so boring. She wasn't someone who keeps her mouth shut when she feels things are not right. Jeeva was a different person at home and it's been two weeks but no one gave any thought about both of them, not even Jeeva. Kanna turned out to be her only solace through his jokes and she prayed to God daily for Mullai to come to their home really soon. She developed a huge respect for Kathir and Mullai because she felt everything about them was purely real.

On one fine day by the end of March, Kathir and Mullai were alone in the shop and talking their usual dose of conversation along with her coffee and his tea. Kathir was not happy with the way things are at home. Since his brother's marriage, there was surely an issue to sort when they returned home at night. He knew Meena was not completely wrong but also didn't know what to do about it. This conversation led them to talk about Jeeva and Meena's love story and eventually towards what love actually is.

Mullai: Enga... neenga yaaravatha virumbirukeengala... love panniruka maateenganu theriyum... aana kandipa yaaravatha pudichurukumla... school time la... atha pathi sollunga...

Kathir: Kadha maari solra alavuku onnum illa... athu...

Mullai: Enga... customer varaanga...

He turned the other side and was shocked to see the person whom exactly he was about to mention to Mullai. The girl he had proposed in his 10th grade and by whom he was rudely rejected too. He had not met her for all these years and the timing in which she entered made him feel like he is going to be in trouble. To top it all, she was Mullai's classmate too.

Kaviya: Kathir... Epidi irukeenga... Mulla... unna na inga edhir paakala... aama Kathir un cousin nu sollirukala...

Kathir: Nalla iruken ma...

Mullai: Kaviya... school mudiyum podhu paathathu... eppidi di iruka... school time la namma avalova pesikittathu illa aanalum unna paakum bothu namma friends ellathayum paatha maari iruku... thideernu ooruku vandhuruka... enna vishayam...

Kaviya: Nalla iruken Mulla... Kathir... na unga kitta thaan pesa vandhen... unga veetla irundhu yaaravathu varakulla solliren... neenge enna virumbureenganu na 8th padikum bothu sonneenga... na ungala romba asingapaduthi anupchuten... aana ithana varusham kalichu na oru periya thappu panniten nu thonuthu... namma konja neram pesalaama... please... na oru vaaram thaan oorula irupen apram Chennai poiruven... namma pesi ellam seriya vandha veetla pesalaam nu paathen... ungaluku innum en mela kadhal irundha...

Mullai felt like she couldn't breathe. She didn't expect something like this coming at all. She looked at Kathir and he was thinking deeply. Her heart was beating so fast that she was getting a bit giddy. Kathir had proposed to a girl years back and that too her classmate. What is going on? She didn't realise the seriousness of that question she asked minutes ago but now she didn't want to know anything. She just wanted to disappear into thin air. Someone claiming Kathir's love in front of her was like breaking her heart into pieces. She just stared at him with a blank look.

Kathir: Nee... annachi kadai theriyum la na oru ara mani nerathula vandhuren anga wait pannuriya... na vandhu pesuren unkitta...

Kaviya was happy that he agreed to speak with her alone. She thought he would have hated her for all those nasty words she uttered at him years back. She smilingly nodded at him and left the place. When Kathir was about to talk to Mullai who by now had been looking at the ground all hopes gone, Moorthy entered the shop and he had no other way than to not speak. In half an hour, Kathir excused himself saying he had important work and left the shop. He tried to at least look at her but she was not lifting her head from the accounts she was working on. He knew she was hurt and thought will explain her once he returned back.
