~ Calm in the Chaos ~

A few days passed with Kathir and Mullai in a dilemma about how to make things between them right. Mullai can easily forget her discrepancies with Kathir because he took care of her with all his heart. He hadn't been around girls much to know their expectations and feelings towards their better half. He didn't also know how important a girl child, especially an only girl child, is to her parents. Mullai knew all this but she thought she really wanted him to think of her and her family as his own family. And that's not possible if he loves only half of her. She is not complete without her parents. Kathir also knew he can't just go and resolve things with her parents and expect her to be like before to him again. This is a process and it will take a lot of time. Most of his Pandian Stores time and focus was turned towards Mullai.

They spoke with each other only when necessary and it was always Kathir who initiated the conversation and she would reply with his trademark one words or one liners. It was irking him a lot but he could understand that he was the one who made her self-conscious of what she talked. Kannan was assigned with a new job of making sure Mullai was okay at home when Kathir was not there. He was in his semester holidays and his full time job was to inform Kathir of Mullai's mood. As much as Kanna could note, she was as happy and cheerful as before when she was around them but her face becomes gloomy once she is left alone in the kitchen or hall.

Meena and Jeeva returned back in two days as Meena was more than content with the way everything changed in the family. She was happy to be back actually. She could note that there was a crack between Kathir-Mullai when she couldn't find them having any eyelock even once after she returned from Kodaikanal. She loved the vibe they had and it was totally missing now. She perfectly knew she had been a reason for their misunderstanding and it had grown into something else too. She wanted Mullai to be genuinely happy because she had done so much for her. Meena had tried to talk to Mullai about Kathir but all Mullai said was there was no issue between them.

One morning, Mullai had asked Kanna to accompany her to the temple and he was confused because she always went to the temple with Kathir after marriage. He has also seen her postpone her temple visits just because Kathir was busy in the shop.

Kanna: En anni kochukureenga... varen varen...

Kathir was in the shop thinking about Mullai and it has become his routine even though he got teased by everyone around for daydreaming all the time. That's when he received a text from Kanna about Mullai's visit to the temple. He was hurt that she had not thought of even calling him once and he also remembered many times when she had cancelled or postponed her temple visits because he had always put the shop work before her all the time. He finally found how it feels when he gets left out. He excused himself with some reason and left to meet his wife. He reached there a little later than he thought and he found Kanna and Mullai sitting there arguing over something.
