Four years have gone simula ng iniwan mo ako Aurum, you are so unfair, bigla mo na lang akong iniwan...

Yet I pray you are happy wherever you are...

Inilapag ko ang dala-dala kong basket of Red Roses sa puntod ni Aurum, andito ako ngayon sa Vileafuerte Mausoleum. Based na ako sa Manila, pero every week I would visit his grave, at ngayon lahat ng Silverthornes umuwi dahil anniversary ng kamatayan ni Aurum. Uuwi kaya siya?

What am I thinking? Here I am in front of my husband's grave yet my thoughts are of another. You should be ashamed of yourself Shysie!

I mentally scolded myself and looked at my husband's grave ulit. He chose to be buried here than be burned to ashes. "I miss you, our time spent as a couple was short-lived yet not a moment did I regret I became your wife Aurum"

I remember it clearly na parang kailan lang when we got married out of a short bethrotal fixed by his dad and my relatives. Just after the wedding he collapsed at isinugod namin siya sa hospital, only to find out that he has terminal Brain Cancer which he hid from all of us all along.

We never got to consumate our marriage since from there on, it was more of trying to fight for life with him. Remembering everything that we have been through and he leaving after a good fight brought tears to my eyes.

Dito sa puntod niya hinahayaan ko ang sarili kong umiyak at, ibuhos ang kalungkutan na nararamdaman ko.

Tinignan ko ang relo ko, it's time for me to go back sa Manor. I checked myself sa compact mirror na bitbit ko and tried to improve my appearance by retouching my make-up. Nung hindi na masyadong pula at namamaga ang mga mata ko. I stood up and threw a kiss in the air as I waved goodbye sa puntod niya.

It was a long walk papuntang sasakyan. When I reached it, pinagbuksan ako ng pinto ni Kuya Ernie, isa sa mga driver ni Lolo. I sat down with a wandering mind, pero nung umandar na ang sasakyan, naalala ko na may kailangan akong bilhin.

"Kuya Ernie, pwede dumaan muna tayo sa cake shop malapit sa Manor?", sabi ko sa driver.

Isang tango lamang ang sagot niya, which I understood since he was a man of few words at nakafocus siya sa daan.

Nag-iisip ako kung chocolate o strawberry ba ang bibilhin ko na cake for Dahly, nang may tumawag sa phone ko, it was Marah.

"Oh Marah napatawag ka?", tanong ko sa kanya.

"Shy! You won't believe this, end of the world na ata" sagot naman ni Marah

"Huh? Bakit?", tanong ko sa kanya.

'Si Gen... " naputol yung phone call, low battery na pala ang phone ko.

What about Gen? It's been ten long years since I last saw him, after that big fight.

It still feels like yesterday...

Nasa study kami ni Old Man that time, ako si Aurum at si Argentum, we were called for a very serious matter.

"Maupo kayo" sabi ni Old Man sa amin.

Naupo na nga kami, I was seated in between the twins, kamamatay lang ng parents ko that time due to a car accident. Since then, dito na ako pinatira ni uncle Erickson. Wala na rin ang mama ng twins, she died after giving birth to them.

Napansin kong umiinom siya and knowing him, he only does this when he is stressed out.

"Shy, alam ko this will come as a shock sa iyo, your relative and I have come up with a decision para sa kompanya ninyo. Since you are the only heir yet underaged, our companies will merge. However; may kondisyon ang relatives mo to assure na may karapatan ka pa rin sa kompanya mo..."
