5. On Earth, the capital of Scala was descending into chaos with the disappearance of the royal family, leaving only the Devil behind to peruse the palace and allow the people free reign under the perpetual red sky. This led to multiple riots and fights on the busy streets between the royal guards and common peasantry, but the new king of Scala had other things in mind. On the roof of the royal palace, the Devil was looking into a mirror at what Ilaria and her company were up to in his home realm. He became even more inquisitive when his old partner Vico had retrieved the first of the Tools of the Trade, a feat deemed near impossible to achieve.
The Devil was firmly aware of the queen's intentions to return to the mortal and retake her kingdom, so he decided to send a creature known as the Enforcer from the dimension of the Otherworld down into Hell to hinder the progress of his new captives and prevent their return to the mortal realm. The Devil had ripped a hole in time and space to bring the Enforcer between dimensions down to Hell. The Enforcer was an entirely black being with two large yellow globes for eyes and an indistinguishable black mass of hands and a tail for a body. The Demon was positive that the Enforcer would make quick work of the travellers. If only it were that easy.
