3. The Devil thought the wall would be impenetrable to all who stood against him, but he did not consider the fifty-foot tall bronze giant on Ilaria's side. Julian ploughed forward and began to bang his large fists into the stone wall, cracking it and ultimately barging it down, allowing Ilaria to lead the way through to the palace. The advance of the team was all down to the special powers that each of the Tools of the Trade were endowed with as items of legend. Ilaria was already mowing down masses of evil with her silver sword, which proved indestructible against every blow her enemies dealt her. Vico took out his golden violin and began playing one of the most beautiful serenades ever composed, enough to cause the demonic crowds to disperse out of his way and allow him safe passage to the steps of the palace.
Ennio fought with sword and gun after he had ingested the golden apple, which rendered him temporarily immortal as per his yellow skin to whatever the sorcerers and monsters had in store, from fire to rubble. Nonna Piazza took shelter behind the shallow dugout of a crater, taking the magical crystal ball in her hand. Her fingers slipped through the glass into the heart of the ball, ready to pull out whatever she desired from the far future. She needed a weapon that could help her fight alongside the team, so she pulled out two small pistols.

She was an intelligent woman, and quickly adapted to these new items, emerging from her hole to shoot at the demons with her anachronistic weaponry. When the ammunition in both pistols had been exhausted, Nonna switched to using fallen timbers as spears to stab and hack at her foes. She had also been given two small bombs for her to throw, watching them explode in a plume of smoke and fire to clear a path for her out of the inferno.
