Chapter 30

Maddie's POV

"These chicken tenders are actually really good wow," Liam says biting into one.

"I know! I told you so!" I laugh and throw a fry at him.

He catches it and looks at me like he's the coolest thing in the world.

"I'm actually really shocked that just happened, because I normally cannot catch a thing!"

"YOU'RE LITERALLY THE QUARTERBACK HOW CAN YOU NOT CATCH A THING?" I laugh uncontrollably.

He laughs too, "Well yeah I am, but that's different. I'm trained to do that, I'm not trained to catch random French fries thrown at me by pretty girls!"

"Ooh so you think I'm pretty do you?" I say raising my eyebrow.

He blushes and nods, "Yes, I do think you're very pretty. In fact, I think you're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen and I love you."

I smile the widest I've ever felt myself smile, "Well I love you too. And I also love that you called me a woman, because now I feel very strong and independent wow go me."

He laughs and finishes off his chicken fingers. I finish mine off as well and we're left to look at the beautiful mountain scenery and wait for the check to come.

"Woah, look at that cool bird thing!" Liam says, pointing.

I squint, I couldn't quite see what it was.

"What bird thing? I don't see it," I say.

"Here, come over here and look!"

He pulls me over to him and points again.

I see a beautiful bird gliding in the air effortlessly.

"Oh wow, that's so pretty!" I say in amazement.

He wraps his arms around me from behind and whispers in my ear, "Not as pretty as you."

I flip around and crash my lips against his. I don't know what I'm doing, but I just need more of him. It's almost like I can't get enough, he's just adding flames to the fire.

Liam puts his hands on my hips when suddenly we hear a small laugh from the door.

"Here's your check, now get your tongue out of her throat you naughty boy," Mallori says while she giggles.

Liam and I both pull away blushing.

"Uh yes ma'am, sorry," Liam says taking the check and paying it.

I blush and look at Mallori. She winks at me and walks back around the counter.

"Well, we should probably get going," Liam says grabbing his coat.

"Wait, where are we going?" I ask, confused.

He smiles at me, "I'm taking you mini golfing."
