Shifting to Hogwarts

Chapter 23

I was in class. I forgot how long I was there for. How could he know i'm in danger? The teacher called on me.
"Do you know the answer miss y/n?" she asked in a snotty voice.
"I wasn't paying attention sorry.." I said quietly.
"Of course you weren't! I will be assigning you extra homework for only you! that will teach you to pay attention while I teach!" she said in the most annoying voice ever. At least it was Language Arts stuff. But god did I ever hate this teacher. While I was semi paying attention my mind went to Fred. What does Angelina have that I don't? Sure she is older than me and prettier than me and taller than me but I have personality! Definitely loads of guys go for personality... I thought feeling unenthusiastic.

Class went by painfully slow. She broke down every detail and gave us 30 minutes to work on the new assignment she asked us to do by the end of this week. I was behind in her class and her class only. I want to be a writer when I grow up so I spent extra long doing my essays and poem and such. I usually get B's In + or - for handing it in late. I decided to sit by a tree with my friend Ella. I was typing away at my computer for the assignments I was behind on. Ella was chatting about how my boyfriend thought I was acting different earlier today.
"Omg you won't believe what happened while I shifted though!"
She huddled in closer eager to know. "Draco knows I'm a shifter and Fred well he doesn't like me as much as I thought... But Draco was acting soooooooo hot before I left! We kissed a few times! He did pin me on his bed to while his hands were at my wrists pinning my own hands down! I want him to raillllllll me!" I bursted out laughing near the end. So did Ella.
"What happened with Fred though?" she asked.
"Draco told me he was ditching me Angelina... and that they had been and thing and he had never loved me. Apparently it was all a bet from George and his friend..."  I swallowed the lump in my throat. I had honestly loved Fred. I can't believe I was some dumb bet!
"You should go back after a bit! That way Draco will probably have forgotten about everything and you can give Fred a chance to explain everything!" Ella said.
"Why do you have to sound so knowing and why do you have to be right all the time! I swear you could have been Hermione in the movies!" She smiled. Hermione was her favourite character. "How is shifting going for you?"  I asked she was  blabbing while I writing on my computer and I pretty much finished everything that was late.

A few weeks go by and I'm cleaning my room and I come across my shifting script.
You should go back after a bit! Ella's words bounced around in my brain. I'm going back now. I want- to need go.  I went to bed and did my routine. I woke up again in my bed at hogwarts. I sniffed the air it smelled of pine needles and lavender. I missed this. Hermione woke up and saw me. She quickly jumped out of bed and gave me a great hug.
"How was the trip to your mom's house?" she asked. I was confused. "Draco did say you probably would be there for a bit I'm so glad you came back!" that explains a lot.
"My trip was good! also do we have classes today? I haven't been here so I kinda forgot my schedule.." I asked trying to sound convincing.
"No it's the weekend. Harry, Ron and I will be going skating on the lake. We will be on the side closest to the school because the ice is much thicker there! if you are going be careful because some spots you can go right through! Also Fred wants to talk to you! Anyways I best be getting ready! I'll see ya around!" I waved as she walked away to get ready. Oh goodie Fred wants to talk. I got ready and headed down to talk to Fred. I assumed Fred told Hermione to tell me he wanted to talk to me the next time he sees me.
"y/n! There you are you won't believe how much I missed you! Anyways I want you to meet me by the lake today! I thought it would be a way for us to y'know catch up with another what do you think?" Fred said while hugging me.
"Umm sure I guess..." I could get some answers from him then!

We walked around the lake together. We had passed the golden trio a while back I could see their small figures on the thicker side of the ice. 
"So how are you and Angelina..?"  I asked breaking the silence. He kind of froze.
"What do you mean?" he mumbled. I sighed.
"Draco told me you didn't love me and you and Angelina were a... thing..." I chocked on the last words.
"Ok I understand you would be mad but, it was just a kiss that was it and she kissed me!" Fred said panicking a bit. I looked away from him. He put his hand on my cheek and forced me to look at him. "I'm sorry okay... it was an accident..." Again I sighed.
"Alright I forgive you..." I smiled at him and we walked hand in hand around the lake.
"y/n!? I  told you not to come back!!" Draco's voice echoed through the area. His goons separated me and Fred.  His goons punched Fred. I was on my stomach spreading all my weight.  Draco walked over to me being careful not to fall in.
"No she can't swim! she'll drown!!" Fred was screaming. He got up an punched one of the goons straight into the jaw. Draco began jumping on the ice and throwing heavy rocks on it and the ice breaks.
