Chapter Twenty Three
The house inspection had really seemed to be going well right now, which was everything against what the girls had wanted.
They needed to put an end to this, and now too.
Goodness knew how long this housing expedition was actually going to last for, but Aaliyah and Lisa were slightly tired of seeing their parents so happy about the whole thing.
Shanice and Zuriel, aka the house inspectors walking all over their house with them to see how clean it was were really impressed at the moment.
"Wow, I don't think we've ever seen a house this clean before. We're really impressed."
Shanice was talking whilst Zuriel in the meantime was taking notes, as he wasn't really much of a talker.
Whitney and DeVante had never been so ecstatic in their entire lives, even more so when Sparkles the cat had unexpectedly walked right into their sitting room.
"You have a cat?"
That was coming from Zuriel, who had gone down on one knee to stroke Sparkles as he had absolutely adored cats.
The ones that weren't black anyway- those ones had truly scared him to death.
Too superstitious, unlucky and everything. Zuriel just didn't want to risk anything, that was all.
Aaliyah and Lisa in the meantime still had to set up the toy mouse for Sparkles to chase pretty much all over the house.
But they couldn't stop farming over Zuriel.
"He's so dreamy." From Lisa.
Aaliyah had told her that she could have said that again, although before Lisa was literally about to say that again (even though Aaliyah didn't mean it literally)?
Aaliyah had told her to snap out of it and focus.
The good thing about this toy mouse was that it had a little watch camera that Lisa and Aaliyah could have simultaneously used to see how successful they were in getting Sparkles to chase it around.
The camera was for them to see everything through the toy mouse's eyes- it was in black and white but it was efficient.
"You ready?"
"We're going to get into so much trouble... but let's do this thing."
It wasn't unlike Lisa to worry about how much they were going to get into trouble whenever they had all done something bad.
Or against their parents' wishes.
Or just against any kind of rule in general, to be honest.
Aaliyah had put on the toy mouse, with her and he sister watching what was going on from the mouse's perspective.
It was kind of extremely difficult to control the mouse and see how much progress they were making at the same time...
But Aaliyah had somehow managed to do it, so a huge kudos to her.
Whitney, DeVante, Zuriel and Shanice couldn't have stopped talking about their house inspection, with Whitney and DeVante giving them a grand tour around the house.
The girls had to move when they were close to them, as they really didn't want any of them to know what was going on, and the toy mouse thing was working!
Sparkles was chasing the toy mouse around the house, almost like a headless chicken, with Aaliyah and Lisa in the meantime just watching everything live from behind the sofas.
They couldn't stop stifling their laughter, which had to be done in the first place because if they had actually laughed out loud then the two of them were done for.
Absolutely done for.
And they had all realised that. They too didn't want to risk anything, almost like Zuriel and his fear of black cats.
Even better than the whole camera thing?
The toy mouse had looked very realistic, so therefore, it had oftentimes been mistaken for a real mouse.
DeVante had heard some thunderous miaowing and things breaking from all over the house- and he knew very well that neither of the girls would have ever tried doing that, so Sparkles had done that instead.
What he didn't realise though, was that the girls had caused Sparkles to chase a mouse that wasn't even real in the first place.
All four of them had gone to the sitting room, and almost everything was broken.
The chinas.
The ornaments on the tables.
This house inspection had gone from zero to a hundred real quick.
The girls on the other hand had so much fun that they hadn't even realised the consequences of their stupid actions.
Very stupid actions; that would have landed them into a lot of trouble in the future.
