Chapter Thirty! Whoop whoop!
"Aaliyah, hurry up. We ain't got time for this."
Aaliyah didn't even say anything, she had just apologised on her behalf for the delay.
Aaliyah and her next door neighbour Brandy were currently at a clothes shop, and they were also planning to go to Amy Winehouse's and Selena Quintanilla's party today.
The party was invite only but screw that.
They were going regardless.
Amy and Selena were the most popular girls in school, and they were twins as well.
So if someone had missed out on this party then they had missed out, man!
Simple as.
Lisa was supposed to be with both of them right now as well, although she didn't go because Aaliyah and her were initially supposed to be grounded.
They had both completely messed up their parents' house inspection earlier on today, and if Whitney and DeVante weren't careful then they would have been evicted out of the house because of the girls.
Inevitably, the girls weren't allowed to sneak out of the house, most especially if they were grounded but Aaliyah didn't care!
She was going to that party with Brandy whether it had killed her or not.
Aaliyah had been in there for a really long time now (like twenty minutes or so), trying to pick out the best clothes for them to wear to the party that they weren't even invited to in the first place.
They had been at the shop for like almost an hour at the moment, and the fitting rooms alone for only twenty minutes instead.
Brandy had already decided on what she was going to wear to said party, although Aaliyah on the other hand had experienced a little bit of trouble along the way.
Which was ironic because usually it was the opposite thing happening.
Brandy was the one that had taken her time during shopping, which was exactly why Aaliyah was reluctant to go shopping with her in the first place.
How the tables had turned.
"What's taking you so long?"
"It takes a while to look this good."
She had then come out in a very stunning prom dress- which was what Amy and Selena's party was anyway: a fancy dress one.
They wanted people to look nice but they didn't want anyone to dress better than them, because it was their party.
Ghetto superstar, that is what you are
Comin from afar, reachin for the stars
Run away with me, to another place
We can rely on each other, uh-huh
From one corner, to another, uh-huhThat was what Brandy had sang to Aaliyah as she had headed outside in her stunning dress.
Brandy had already decided on what she was going to wear, which had already been brought as well.
Light blue was legit Brandy's favourite colour and she was all down for bows as well.
If they weren't going to look good at the party then goodness knew what the point of going there would have been.
Brandy's dress had cost 200 dollars altogether but the girl had money, which Aaliyah had known from experience. Her family was pretty rich after all.
That's way too much money for a small dress like that, sis.
Yes, but have you seen it?! Brandy had whispered to Aaliyah when they were at the counter to buy the dress, after Brandy had actually tried it on.
It's beautiful.
Aaliyah had completely begged to differ to be honest, although if Brandy had liked it then who was she to think completely otherwise?
Brandy had done her shopping, now it was just Aaliyah. Apparently, the dress was 150 dollars, and it had suited her perfectly.
Aaliyah couldn't lie, before she had actually snuck out of the house with Brandy, she had stolen 300 dollars from her parents' room.
She was probably going to get into trouble for that sometime soon, and Lisa didn't know about it.
"Great, it suits you. Just take it off now and you can buy it."
Aaliyah had smiled and she had listened to Brandy, however when she had tried to remove the dress?
It didn't work.
The zipper was completely stuck, and her hair wasn't even in the way either.
It was official.
She wanted to leave the dress but the dress clearly didn't want to leave her.
What the heck were they going to do now?
The party was in thirty minutes and it had taken them an hour to get there, without any kind of traffic whatsoever.
