Madame Lambert and Monsieur Eppinette prepared to meet for the council. Their speech had been worked on for many hours. They were sure that what they had done would do no more than wow the council.

They walked into the meeting room together, Eppinette escorting Lambert. Dozens of eyes stared at them as the approached a single podium to speak. Madame Lambert looked to Monsieur Eppinette, gesturing with her brow for him to speak.

"Section 124 Trials were no more than outstanding. It was the most successful trial yet. I believe that Trial Odd 23 will be just as wonderful, if not better than, Section 124. I think we have had stunning results and I am positivly sure that the brain activity information gained will be everything we need. Now that the next trial is ready, we will have the required information to make the virus for the Human Perfected Population," Eppinette spoke. He spoke only with complete confidence.

Lambert tried to copy his confidence, "Although the Resistance has grown stronger, larger, I believe that they are under control. With our technology and advanced minds, we will remain powered over the Resistance.

As for the trials, I could not agree more with Monsieur Eppinette. Section 124 was wonderful. Phase 2 is in the progress.

I believe that placing Jordyn with the section was a fantastic choice. She works well along side Jedediah and Maximus. Her brain activity is increasingly well. The reaction we got from Faye's death, along with Will's, is exactly what we needed. Jordyn continues to provide the exact things we need, making our hope for the Do Overs remain."

It was silent for several moments. Eppinette and Lambert waited patiently as the council pondered their announcements.

A hand in the distance was raised. Eppinette fixed his suit as he gestured to the hand.

"How will the next phase be used to effect the Conquerors minds?" asked the person in the distance.

Eppinette spoke, "The Conqueror's increased levels of the heart rate, arterial tension and testosterone production- while their cortisol decreases- will leave their left hemisphere of the brain more stimulated. This is indicated by a new investigation that analyzes the changes in the brain's cardiovascular, hormonal and asymmetric activation response when they get angry. When they will be placed in the new environment, all of that will double; to them, everything in their minds will seem to remain the same. They will be blind to the change in brain levels.

We will use this to blind the world population's minds, making anything tragic to the human seem like an average day."

Many of the council members had been taking notes at this point. All of them associated with one another over the new given information, mumbling their conversations.

Another voice called out a question, quieting everyone, "How will the confusion be used?"

Madame Lambert spoke now, "Jordyn for example. Her mental health condition was triggered by the event. Jordyn's nightmares, flashbacks and anxiety are all symptoms. These symptoms provide us with information we can use to strain the others; we study the levels of stress to know how much we can apply to one human brain before it collapses on itself. The confusion plays an important role with this."

Again, the council associated with one another. Several minutes passed. Minutes became moments.

Madame Lambert and Monsieur Eppinette were nervous. They needed the council to support the next phase. Without the council, Eppinette and Lambert would have very little money to continue with, if continuing is an option at that point.

Madame Lambert walked to stand closer next to Eppinette. The two stood closely together.

Lambert could still see the scar from the bullet that had entered Eppinette's forehead. Lambert carefully ran her thumb over the scar, sighing.

"Lambert, I've told you plenty enough that I'm all right," Eppinette tried to say convincingly.

"Yes, I know. I just wish that I'd been paying better attention. You don't have another chance," Lambert replied sorrowfully.

Eppinette held her hands in his. Eppinette could tell that Lambert was tense; she needed the council to join them. The two were so close to forming the perfect virus for the perfect human race.

"Nous attendons...Do you think we'll be able to do it?" Madame Lambert asked.

"Absolutely," Monsieur Eppinette replied as he squeezed Lambert's hand slightly. They remained in the low silence. The only sounds were the muffled sounds of talking council members and the quiet breathing of Lambert and Eppinette.

After a while, one council member stood. The remaining members grew silent, allowing the one to speak. "We shall help with the continuation of your next phase. The Odd Trial Section 23 is now in pursuit."

Lambert and Eppinette let out a relieved sigh. They knew that everything was going to work now. They were being given the best opportunity that they could have hoped for.

Phase Two is now in pursuit.
