Chapter 10
It's been a year and a few weeks already. I am still attending Miss Sandra's weekly sessions. Most likely to be called 'Kailan ka magiging normal?' I didn't miss a single session. Gano'n ako kadesidido.
Hindi ko rin na-imagine ang sarili ko na magtatagal ako ng isang taon. Her help made a difference. My improvement and progress were crazy. Feeling ko ay may manikang itinatago itong si Miss Sandra. Sa isang madilim na silid niya ginagawa ang bawat orasyon.
Is Miss Sandra a witch? Could the therapists be witches in disguise?
Aside from attending a private college, Miss Sandra expressed her pride by being proud of me. Mas ramdam ko pa 'yong suporta niya kaysa sa mga magulang ko. Millarca supports me but she needs to take care of herself first before anything else. Her emotional and mental health has been the worry of our parents. Her marriage with Weston fucked it all up.
Weston only needed her wealth. Weston admitted it. His real girlfriend showed up eventually and confessed her boyfriend's intentions. It is not a crime but a complete shame for who they are.
It became one of the biggest scandals for the Foyers. It affects our business and Millarca was advised to temporarily step down from her role to fix her annulment with Weston until she's ready to pick herself back again. I think that's one of the good decisions they made. I was also hoping that they would lay the option for me to take over the role of Millarca but they didn't serve it to me.
Unlucky me. As if I'll get it, right?
"Kai," Miss Fletcher called my attention. I put my eyes away from the guitar on my lap. Tiningnan ko siya. Mukhang importante ang sasabihin niya sa akin. "I would like to inform you that I won't be able to meet you next week for our session. I've already told your parents about it and they were okay with it. We'll be seeing each other probably the week after that."
I nodded, confirming that I understood her. "Sure. And what are you gonna do next week?"
"Oh! I'll be leaving the country for a work-related trip and maybe a quick vacation, I think," she giggled.
"Where?" I asked.
Does she think I'm becoming more of a nuisance? Hindi naman masamang magtanong if she's going to leave. After all, siya lang din iyong nakakasama ko weekly na iniintindi ang sitwasyon ko.
"I'll be attending an event abroad. I will be speaking in front of people who have disabilities. It is one of my dreams, too. I grabbed the chance na rin. I've been meeting a lot of people and I also wanted to share the experiences and if you're giving me a permission na mapahapyawan ang story mo and improvements. I would highly appreciate it, Kai."
Ngumiti ako at tumango. "It's fine for me. I'd love for you to do it."
"Wow, Kai! Thank you!"
