"Kai! Hello?"
I have been watching this silent television show which was in a black and white program for an hour now. I laughed when they played dumb or funny things. Kapag gusto kong manood, this type of show became my companion.
It is a type of show where the viewers only intend to watch the show and the characters actions. Of course, they still do background sounds to appeal with audiences but it's not necessary for me. I could still understand what the characters are trying to do.
I'm loving the life I have now. No one demands anything from me. No one judges me. No one looks at me like I'm a disappointment. In my new place, I feel like I have a new life.
It's like I was reborn. A new Malachi Van Foyer who can do whatever he wants to do amidst his condition. That's the goal I've been looking forward to and with the resources I have, it won't be hard for me.
A while ago, I noticed my phone buzzed so I checked it out. Nang mabasa ko ang pangalan ng nag-text, si Zie, I instantly read her message.
Hi Kai! I'm at your house. Waiting for you behind the door. Are you busy?
I hastily jumped out of the couch and almost stumbled upon getting to the door. Gano'n naman talaga, kapag in love, mabilis ma-fall. Inayos ko muna ang sarili at pinagpagan ang t-shirt ko na napuno ng chichiryang kinakain ko.
I stood firmly and took a deep breath before opening the door for her. Though I've been seeing her for a week, she always makes me nervous every time we get to see each other. I guess, whatever she does, it completes me.
I opened the door and then I saw Zie with her hair curled, wearing a light pink sundress, and a jacket, and she seemed nice in her flat shoes. But why does she look so nice this time? I mean, she always looked so nice every day. But she just got better.
When Zie spoke, I pointed my index finger to stop her because I forgot to put on my hearing device. I had to run quickly and look for it on the bedside table. I waited for it to function so I could finally put it on my ear.
Bumalik din agad ako kay Zie at inimbitahan siyang makapasok sa loob ng bahay ko. Though she doesn't need to be invited. This could be her home in the future as well.
I totally believe that we'll both end up together. We had a rough past when it comes to our relationship and maybe, I just thought, it could be nice if we finally got together... which is the opposite of what we are right now.
Zie and I are just friends. I still don't have the guts to tell her any of my feelings. Eventually, I'll get there and she'll hear everything from me.
"What made you come by today, Zie?" I asked, though I shouldn't ask that question again. I would love to have her every day. No question. I just panicked, I guess.
