Chapter 13

~Jihyun's POV~

I stand there not knowing what to do. Should I turn around and walk away? Or do I go to their table and say hi?

I don't have time to decide because the two boys calling me run over.

"Hi, I'm Yeonjun and I think you know our friend Soobin?"

I just nod, this dude is as tall as Soobin, why are all these guys giants?

"Cool! Do you want to say hi? He seemed like he wanted to talk to you." He said. Both boys have an evil smirk on their faces.

I agreed and they both guide me back to the table.

When we near their table, they both sit in their spots and gesture me to the open spot.

"So, Soobin, do you want to introduce us to your friend?" Yeonjun says.

Soobin gives him a small glare and hesitates to start talking.

"Umm..... T-this is Jihyun. I met her at the coffee shop down the street." He says shyly.

I slightly giggle at his shyness, he's really cute.

"Jihyun, would you like to tell us about yourself? Soobin, seems to be at a loss of words." Yeonjun laughs.

I hide a laugh when Soobin sends a glare to Yeonjun again.

"So hi, I'm Jihyun, I'm in my second year here and I'm studying psychology to become a therapist." I say.

Everyone sends me a friendly smile and Yeonjun starts to speak again.

"Cool, so I'll introduce everyone to you, I guess. As you know, I'm Yeonjun, I'm the oldest in our friend group. You know Soobin, that's Beomgyu, and this is Taehyun. We all are dance majors and the five of us have our own group." He said.

I nod along with his words. He said there are five of them, but there's only four here. Are they missing someone?

Before my curiosity can spiral on, Taehyun speaks out.

"So how long has this been going on, noona?" He asks with a smirk.

I give a confused stare back to him. What was he talking about? "W-what do you mean?" I ask.

"I mean, Soobin hyung wouldn't just stare at anyone who's waking by-"

"OK! I think Jihyun has somewhere to be, you looked like you were in a rush earlier. I can help see you to where you were heading, come on." Soobin interrupted.

He stood up quickly while me and the guys silently laughed at his sudden nervous ramble.

I stood up also and started to follow Soobin when Yeonjun grabbed my sleeve to stop me.

"Hey, you seem pretty cool. Would you like to hang out with us this weekend? We're gonna record some videos for our youtube channel and maybe we all can get to know each other in the process." He said.

"Uh.. sure. If it's ok with you guys?" I ask Beomgyu and Taehyun.

They nod and Yeonjun smiles. "Ok, then can I have your number to send you the place?" He asks.

He hands me his phone and I hesitantly take it, only Soon and my family have my number right now. When I finish, I hand back the phone, wave bye to them, and run to catch up with Soobin.

When I caught up with him, he lets out a heavy sigh. "I'm sorry about them, we tease each other like brothers a lot."

"It's ok. You guys seem to have a really close relationship, that's something a lot of people can only wish to have." I say.

Soobin looks down at me. "Is that something you wish for?" He asks.

I smile at him. "A little. I don't have any siblings to bicker with, and I'm not the most social person so I don't have many friends."

He nods in understanding, seeming like he doesn't want to push the topic further.

We continue to walk on the sidewalk path, while listening to the low chatter of the students around us. Eventually, a small ping starts to bug me in the back of my mind. The awkward silence had arrived.

In my mind, I shuffle around, looking for a question or something to start up a conversation.

Finally, I remember a detail I was curious about during the conversation earlier.

"Um.... Y-yeonjun mentioned something about you guys being in a dance group, what kind of dance do you guys do?" I ask.

"Oh, we do dance covers of popular songs and post it on youtube. The five of us have known each other for as long as we can remember."

"The five of you?"

"Yeah. Our youngest member is in his last year of high school. He's going to join us here next school year." He answers.

I smile at the idea, they all seem so close. Soobin speaks about their youngest member like he is a toddler going to school for the first time.

Eventually, we come up to my next class. I turn to face Soobin, he was rubbing the back of his neck and fidgeting with the hem of his shirt.

"Well um.... This is me. I guess I'll see you guys around?" I say nervously.

He nods. "Yeah.... Bye, Jihyun."

We wave to each other and I enter the building.

When I settle down in my seat for class, I let out all the emotions I was bottling up for the past 15 minutes.

Why do all of them have to be so tall and attractive? And why did Yeonjun invite me to their practice? I can't contribute in any way, and I barely know them!

I can't tell them no, they'll ask for a reason why. What am I supposed to say? 'I'm sorry guys, you're all too cute for me to handle, I can't hang out with you unless I want to have a heart attack.'

I'll just have to suck it up for that day.

Maybe this is my chance to have more friends. They were very open to the idea of me joining them, maybe they want me as a friend also?

I'm cut from my thoughts when the professor walks to the front of the class and starts the lecture.

I'll just have to deal with the situation when it happens, I guess.

A/N

First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOOBIN!!!! It's the baby bunny boi's birhtday!!

Second, I mean, I would have a heart attack if any group I liked asked me to watch them practice.

So the boys seem to like Jihyun, and Soobin isn't very good at covering up his flustered state. What's gonna happen if Jihyun goes to their practice? I have something planned that I don't think anyone could guess. Hehehe

Anyway, today let's take time to lie in bed and listen to music. I remember one time I did this and I was hearing sounds I'd never noticed before in the song 'Lie' by BTS.
