"Everyone has someone meant for them, we just don't know where they are. They could be right in front of you, or a million miles away. I...
I'm pinned in an alley by my possessive ex, I can't move due to shock, and now the 5 guys I was supposed to meet are witnessing this scene.
My luck is great today.
"Jihyun, who is this?" Soobin asks.
I'm still shocked from this whole situation and words have seemed to fail me.
"Who are you!?" Jae says angrily.
Before he answers, Yeonjun leans in and whispers something into Soobin's ear, to which Soobin's eyes widen.
Soobin looks back at Jae with a new glaze in his eyes.
"We are friends of hers. Who are you?"
"I'm Jihyun's boyfriend of 1 year." Jae says confidently.
I take a small gasp. "You are not my boyfrie- Mhmm."
I close my mouth to stop the small whimper from the pressure Jae put on my shoulder.
"You have no business handling a female like this, let alone a close friend of ours. Get off her before things escalate." I hear Yeonjun say darkly.
I look to see the 5 of them with blank, emotionless faces. Yeonjun and Soobin stand in front, while Beomgyu, Taehyun, and someone I've never seen before stand behind them a little.
Yeonjun has his fists clenched, Beomgyu has his arms crossed tightly, and Taehyun is bouncing the tripod in his hand like a baseball bat.
After a moment, Jae slowly releases the pressure on my shoulder and steps back a little.
I look up into Jae's dark eyes one last time before quickly walking to the boys.
Soobin puts a hand on my uninjured shoulder and pushes me behind him so I'm completely surrounded by the boys on all sides.
Being in the middle of 5 tall guys, it feels like I'm an ant crawling through some tall grass.
When Soobin pushes me behind him, the 3 guys behind him shuffle in a little closer so I'm more closed in.
I peek through Yeonjun and Soobin shoulders to see Jae giving them a piercing death stare.
I blink and when I open my eyes, Jae is staring at me with the same intensity.
He starts to walk forward towards us, so the boys shuffle closer together around me if that was even possible. Yeonjun and Soobin stand taller than before, to my left Beomgyu clenches his fists at his sides, on my right Taehyun has the tripod swung back like a bat, and behind me the guy I've never seen before places his hands on my shoulders and pulls me into his chest.
Jae stops about a foot in front of Yeonjun and Soobin, still staring at me.
"I'm done, I'll leave you alone now. I don't owe you an explanation, so you're not getting one. I-" He hesitates and looks at Soobin. "Bye, Jihyun."
Before Jae walks off, he stares at Soobin for a moment, then turns and keeps moving along the sidewalk.
We all watch as he crosses the street and keeps walking forward, he never once looked back at us.
Once he was a good distance away, the boys move apart from me.
Not knowing what to say, I bring my hand to my left shoulder to try to ease the burning pain I'm feeling.
I look at my feet, embarrassed of the situation they found me in, and thank them.
"I um..... Thank you for helping me, guys. I don't know what would have happened if you didn't come when you did." I stumble out.
"Jihyun, it's ok. I told you last time, we would be there to help you and I meant it." Yeonjun says with a smile which I return.
"So, who was that guy? Did he hurt you?" Soobin says with worry in his voice.
"Oh um... he's my ex, we broke up last week and he's been trying to get to me ever since. He might have bruised my shoulder a little, but I'm fine."
"Are you sure? We saw he pushed you pretty hard earlier."
"I-I'm fine, Soobin. Really." I reassure him ..... again.
After a second of silence, Yeonjun breaks the awkward tension.
"Do you have someone you might want to call to take you home?"
"Oh, I can call my roommate when we get to the park."
Taehyun's eyes widened a little. "You still want to come with us?"
"Yeah, I promised I would go with you guys didn't I?" I stated blankly.
They all look at each other until Yeonjun settles things.
"Ok, you can come with us, but when your friend comes you need to go home and take care of yourself." He said firmly.
I agreed and we started walking to the park.
A/N
Well then, crisis averted.
I didn't want the boys to fight, because I can't picture them fighting (and I can't write a fight scene and have it read well).
I wanted to add something this week as an announcement for the new story coming out. I want to finish Tall Coffee Boi almost all the way first, that way I have time to be 100% sure on the new one before it goes out. I can't promise that it will be out in a week, or a month, but when I have time to write the rest of this story then I can focus on the other. (I also can't manage 2 stories at the same time because school)
I hope you understand! But trust me that it will be worth the wait, I have my sister helping me and she's excited for me to publish it for other people to see.
