Tall Coffee Boi 《Soobin × OC》

Chapter 3

My alarm wakes me up at 10 am, which my body tells me is too early to wake up. Disregarding my body's protests, I get up and head to take a shower.

After showering, brushing my teeth, and fixing my hair I go back to my desk, I still have work to do. I sit at my desk and start scrolling through Twitter, everyone knows procrastination is an important step in the working process.

I finished the things I needed to do by 1 pm. I guess I can leave a little early, today is supposed to be spent with me and Jae being together all day long anyway.

Walking into the kitchen, I see that Soon is still asleep. I write a note for her like she did for me the day before:

Left early to Jae's. Not sure when I'll be back ;)

Taping the note to the fridge, I get my keys and walk out the door. When I get outside, I feel the cool breeze fall has to offer and decide against driving to Jae's. His apartment is only a 10 minute walk from here, and I don't plan on going anywhere else today anyway.

As I walk down the sidewalk, I take in the cool air and let it blow away my stress from school. I look to my left where the community park is, that's where Jae and I had our last date at, before he asked me to be with him.

I smiled to myself, today has been such a good day and it's not even half way over yet.

As I continue walking, I see the coffee shop a lot of college students go to to study, but I always get hot chocolate and pastries from there. I make the spontaneous decision to get me and Jae hot drinks and muffins because why not?

I enter the cafe and order a hot chocolate for me and a black coffee for Jae, along with 2 blueberry muffins.

My order comes back to me quickly so I head outside with my cup carrier and pastry bag.

On my way out a large crowd passes by. I hold my drinks and muffins closer to myself so no one will knock them from my grasp.

I started looking around to see where all these people were going, but this stabbed me in the back a few seconds later.

While I wasn't paying attention a really tall person rammed right into me.

I dropped one drink on the ground and the other spilled onto me, with the muffin bag still firmly in my hand.

I broke out of my daze to look for the person who bumped into me. I'm met with a tall boy on the ground in front of me. He had very soft features and dark brown hair.

He broke from his daze and looked at me with his soft doe eyes. His eyes widened when he realized he had bumped in to another person.

"Oh my- I'm so sorry. Are you ok?" He rambled on while he helped me up.

"Don't worry about me, I'm fine. What about you?" I asked. I didn't want a random dude getting hurt because of me.

"I'm good. I'm so sorr- Oh my god, your coffee!"

I looked at my coat. I didn't feel the coffee on me, I have too many layers on.

"It's ok, this was cheap coffee anyway." I said. This dude is too worried about bumping into a random stranger.

"No, it's not. Let me buy you another one." He insisted.

"It's really ok, you don't have to go through the trouble-"

"Just let me do this, as an apology."

I sighed and gave in, there was no way to change his mind.

We went inside again and he bought me another hot chocolate and coffee.

"Again, I'm so sorry for knocking you over, I didn't see you coming."

"It's really ok! If anything I should be apologizing for not paying attention to where I was going." I said.

"Ok. Hey um...., you're a student here right?" He asked while rubbing the back of his neck. I nodded. "Oh cool! Maybe I'll see you around. I'm Choi Soobin by the way."

"Waein Jihyun." I shook his hand. "Anyway, I'm supposed to be somewhere, so I'll see you around."

"Oh, yeah. Bye, sorry for that again." He smiled.

I waved him bye, which was hard to do because he was so adorable I didn't want to look away. I just wanted to squish him and poke his dimples.

I gather myself and start to make my way to Jae's apartment. I shouldn't tell him about this, should I? He probably will get jealous, but what is there to be jealous of? Whatever, I won't.

A/N

So Jihyun met Soobin in the most awkward way possible, love that for them. In the comments tell me if there is a worse situation they could have met, I'm curious what you guys will say.

Also tell me your heights because I'm curious about that too. Soobin is 6'1" (or about 185cm) and I'm about 5'11"/6'0" (or 155/182 cm), yeah I'm tall. I hope I did the measurements right, I'm sorry if I didn't.

Anyway, remember to eat some chocolate or your favorite dessert this week. Everyone deserves a little treat every once in a while, I'm so proud of you for making it this far in your day/month/year/life!
